* BEEP BEEP BEEP BEE-*

I turn off the alarm clock on my phone. I slowly get out of bed dreading to start my first day of Senior Year. I could already tell it was going to be like the rest.

 Constantly being ignored.

 Being a "nobody"

Thank god I had my best friend Casey. She was the only one I could actually talk to and she was the only one who knew about my past.

I trudge to the window and pull back my curtains.

"Looks like another rainy day... typical Seattle weather."

I got dressed into my black skinny jeans, Nirvana tank top and my black converse and my leather jacket. I run into the bathroom brush my teeth and attempty to straighnten my untamable brown hair..

I grab my back pack and walked outside just as Casey was pulling into my drive way.

" Good morning lovely. Ready to go?"

" Ready as I will ever be." I climb into the passenger seat and turn on the radio and look out the window.

Casey turns down the radio and looks at me " Is everything alright Riley?" " Yeah I guess why? "

"It's just I don't like seeing upset ever since..." I cut her off " Casey seriously I'm over that I promise, I just wanna forget about the entire thing."

 " Okay."

We pull up to the school and I immediatly get a stomach ache. " lovely.." I say under my breath.

I walk up to my locker and put all my stuff into it except my History book because History is my first period.

I walk up the stairs to Mr. Reynolds room and take a seat in the back row like usual.

That's when he walked in.

Emmet Arnolds, he took a seat in the middle row across the room. I'm surprised he even came to school, well it was the first day probably wouldn't expect him around a lot this year.

I understand how girls would swoon over him he was attractive with his black hair and his piercing green eyes. He wasn't an athlete and he didn't really have a "crowd" to hang out with. Emmet only had five friends Cameron, Aaron, Jake, Dylan, Bryce.

Emmet could have any girl he wants because they practically throw themselves at him. I think that's why I've never really like Emmet because he uses them for sex and then gets rid of them like they are nothing.

I hadn't realized I was looking at him until I saw his green eyes looking at me. I quickly looked away and tried to focus on what Mr. Reynolds was saying but ever so often I would glance over and see that Emmet was staring at me. In all honesty it was kind of freaking me out just a little bit. I didn't understand why he was looking at me, it wasn't like there was much to look at I mean I don't really think I'm attractive I'm more like...average.

The bell rang and I quickly got up because I was afraid he was going to try to talk to me. I guess I wasn't fast enough because the next thing I know is that as I'm walking down the hall someone grabs my arm and drags me to the school garden outside.

"Maybe you should've taken a picture babe, it would've lasted longer." he said. As much as I wanted to try and pull away I couldn't the smell of his cologne was amazing and his eyes were captivating.. All I wanted to do was stand there all day and look into his eyes..

No Riley!  You can not get caught up with someone like that.

"I could say the same to you. You were staring at ME the entire period." He smirked, oh god why did he have to be blessed with dimples.

"Why did you even bother to check if I was still looking at you?"  " Umm because I find it awkward that someone I don't talk to sits and stares at me." Emmet started to look a little ticked off  "Well next time you should just try to pay a little more attention to Mr. Reynolds then to me Riley."  He looked down at me one last time before walking back inside.

Hopefully that would be my one and ONLY conversation with Emmet.
