"Get the fuck up" a guard pulled me off of the bitch and put me in cuffs. I smirked and looked down at her. I'll admit she got a few hits on me but I for sure won that.
I was shoved in the building and released. I looked at the guard and noticed it was Kate. She was one of the few guards that liked me. I managed to get out of a lot of the shit I've done, because of Kate.
"Michaels you need to chill out. I almost didn't get you in time." I shrugged and sat down. My mind was on Carl. He saw it. I saw him. I haven't thought about him in a while. I try my hardest to push him out of my mind.
Christy, whom I call mama, has been helping me get better, after that day I went to her bunk and spilled my entire life story to her.
She's been a better mom to me than my own biological mother ever was. She never visited me. She never called. Nothing. I don't care though.
Kate walks out of my cubby and back outside. I Sigh and walk to the kitchen. I got assigned a new job, because I had thrown a shovel at one of the inmates. It's been a long four months.
"Hey Sky" Mama said. She's the only one that can call me by my name here.
"Hey mama" I put on a pair of gloves, getting ready to prepare dinner.
"Escuché sobre la pelea" she said sternly.
(Translation:I heard about the fight)
I kept my gaze to the refrigerator, looking for the eggs.
"No dejaría de hablar mierda" (t: she wouldn't stop talking shit)
"Mija eso no es excusa. Si quieres salir de aquí a tiempo, necesitas cortarlo" (t: my daughter, that is no excuse. If you want to get out of here on time, you need to cut it out)
I nodded and walked the eggs to the counter. Other girls started filing into the kitchen, so our conversation was cut short.

"Aye Mami" I turned and saw Mariana. She's 16, and she's in here for drugs too.
"Hey" I said simply. I knew she had a thing for me. I just let it be. I'm not into girls like that.
I grabbed my stuff to get ready for a shower. I like to get in the shower later at night because there are fewer girls and I get time to myself. I walk in the bathroom, only to be greeted by Mariana.
