Once a clock hung high in the sky;
Small and dreary as the darkness turned.
A beaming light shared the sky, it longed for someone who could withstand their sight.
It had grown tired of the same old song shared back and forth.
Both longed for one who could share their pain;
Neither knew that they were parallel lines.
Destined to be close, but never together.
