Responsibility

Though the days are long and energy has left the body,
I remember the most important obligation to others and myself.
However, those that love and care for me forget the simplest things;
Like handing me documents to deliver, or letting me fly off like other young adults.
Yet I am the child;
Yet I get left out of conversations that determine my fate;
Yet despite being treated like a child I am expected to be an adult.
How am I suppose to exude confidence and composure when I am not seen as those things?
