Chapter 2: Please?
Hi guys sorry it took so long to update! I just couldn't think of any good idea's.
It was the last 2 minutes of practice. But not just any practice. It was the last practice I had planned for this whole month. I was so excited. I would finally get to enjoy summer vacation!
Finally practice ended and I almost sprinted out the door. Tonight was the night I would beg my mom to let me go to Warped Tour. I had told her several ways to save money at Warped Tour. We didn't need to but I would do anything to better my chances of her saying yes.
When I got home I raced up the stairs and got in the shower while blasting All Time Low. When I got out of the shower I quickly got dressed so I could start on making dinner. I got down stairs and started to prepare Lobster tails with asparagus, steak, and a baked potato. My mom had forced me to take cooking lessons last summer and I got quite good at it.
The reason I am going through so much struggle to ask my mom to let me go to Warped is because she doesn't like the music I love. She dosn't approve of it. My mother also doesn't like the idea of men covered in tattoos and piercings but what can I say I like what I like.
I finished setting the table just as I heard my mom walk through the door. Right on time as usual.
"Hey mom! How was your day at work? I hope it was great!" I said trying to be on her good side. "Is that my favorite dinner I smell?" My mother asked with a smile of appreciation.
"Yes mother it is! I just thought about how hard you have been working and prepared you dinner to show my thanks," I said obviously kissing up to her. "Thank you so much Paisley! It smells delightful! But I have to ask now. What exactly do you want?" My mother said knowing I didn't just make her dinner to show my love.
"We can talk about that over dinner. Go get changed and when you come down dinner will be on the table," I told my mom practically pushing her up the stairs.
A few minutes later my mom walked over and sat down. We both started to devour the delicious meal I had made. "So I was thinking since I have no more lessons planned for the rest of the summer I could got to this really cool concert." I said to my mom hoping for a good answer. "And what concert would that be?" Mother replied. "Its Warped Tour. The best thing ever. I have been dying to go and since we cancelled the rest of my lessons I was wandering if I could go." I said. "hmm well you did get straight A's and went to every single one of your academics, but I don't like the idea of you going alone." mother replied filling me with joy. "I wouldn't be alone I would be going with Talia!" I said almost jumping out of my seat. "Well if you aren't going alone and you promise to be careful I guess you can go!" My mom said. I started to jump up and down squealing and fangirling.
It is really going to happen.
I am going to Warped Tour.
"Thank you so much mommy!! I love you so much!!! Aaahhhh I have to call Talia!" I exclaimed and ran up the stairs. "Talia!! I can go with you to Warped!!" I shouted. "NO WAY REALLY!! YOUR MOM ACTUALLY LET YOU GO!" She replied sounding a bit more shocked then me. "Yep!" I replied with a sense of pride. "I GOT TO GO BUT THIS IS AMAZING I WILL CALL YOU LATER DOLL BYEE" Talia screamed or at least that's what it sounded like. Talia was always a loud talker.
I can't believe this. I am actually going. I collapsed onto my bed and fell asleep with dreams of happiness and excitement.
