Chapter 16- Haunted

Funneh's POV
I was at Alec's dorm, watching anime and munching on popcorn. It was snowy outside, that's why we had to escape the park. I sigh. Alec notices because he pauses the anime and looks at me. "What's wrong Funneh?" Alec said. I had something that I kept from Alec, and to be honest, I was kind of scared about it all. I was scared when my mother told me something. My mother said that she was going to die in a few days, a little bit after I turned 6.
FLASHBACK
Funneh- What mom?
Mom- I'm sorry to tell you this darling. I have been keeping it, me and your father. *sighs* I'm going to die in a few days.
Funneh- WHAT?! NO MOM, PLEASE *Through sobs* No n-no mom d-don't leave me!
Mom- I'm so sorry honey.
END OF FLASHBACK
I was in tears after remembering the haunting memory that still scared me. The day my mom died, I was crying and crying. My dad died shortly after. I had to live with my rude aunt for 2 years, until Gold's family decided to take me in. Alec carried me up to his guest room and I laid there crying for I don't know how long. I remember that my mom was willing to sacrificed herself for me. Alec held me as I let all my tears out.
Alec left me alone because he thought it would be the best for now. I remembered a song I listened to as a child, so I started singing it.

I calmed down a bit, the tears still coming out. Alec comes in after a while and stares at me. "You're really good at singing." Alec quietly sits down beside me. I clung onto his hoodie and after a while, I fell asleep.
Alec's POV
I was listening to Funneh singing softly from the guest room. She was really good. After a while, I walked in and complimented her. She clung onto my hoodie and fell asleep. I gently laid her down on the bed and she opened her eyes slowly and smiled. She tugs on my hoodie and I get yanked onto the bed. She hugs me as she falls asleep again. I lay in the bed for a short amount of time, then I got out and walked to my own room. I wondered what was on Funneh's mind.
