"Amabarah?" Xavier asked.
He was always on the bench, she thought.
"n i g h t m a r e," was all she could say as she took large breaths.
He guided her next to him and looked up.
"Looook at the s t a r s," he said.
Amber scoffed. "Veeerry fuuunny."
"Don't laauugghh aat me Ambarah. Loook aat the s t a r s," he pleaded.
Amber sighed and looked up at the stars. All she saw was black.
"Theeres oonnllyy d a r k n e s s."
"Because thaat's whaat you're used to. Loook again.
Amber looked up again and stars began to fill her vision. She tapped his shoulder as tears of joy sprouted from her eyes.
"I SEE THE STARS!"
Alas, she could see. Not physically, but to a point where she knew anything is possible.
And she no longer felt
h e a r t b r o k e n.
