Forgotten Memories

"You fucking bitch,I will kill you and everybody from this house. You give me this to eat? This shit?" Mike smashed the plate on the floor and slap his wife,who fall down.

Luna runs from kitchen in her bedroom,hiding under the bed and putting her hand on ears.

Tears start falling on her face,trying to think at good things,at fairies and mermaids but those sounds was too hard to cover them.

She knew that was time to do something to save her mother from the claws of that monster; was time that her mother to stop hiding the bruises under clothes and make up.

Sneaking easily,she reach in her parents bedroom. Opening the door from a closet she found the box with her dad revolver. The gun was charged;taking a deep breath,she heads to the kitchen.

Opening the door,just a little,she saw her mother on the floor;he was hitting from all sides with the feet that inert body while blood was all around.

"You will never hurt us again monster" she screamed while a loud bang filled the room.

Mike collapsed over the table,then fell down. Blood begun to flow from a big wound from his head and Luna was staring at that imagine; trowing the gun away,she rushed to her mother.

"Mommy,please wake up,mommy" she yelled but her mother will never open again her eyes,will never kiss her for goodnight.

After 10 years

Luna spend all this time in a psychiatric hospital. The events from the past affected her mind and without treatment she wouldn't endure those painful feelings.

The doctors wanted to let her go but nobody wanted to take care of her,nobody wanted such responsibility.

From few weeks,Luna had a new roommate,Mary and the girls was together,in every day,every moment.

In one evening,after the nurse closed the door,Luna was staring at the pills from her hand.

"Mary,what will happen if we will not take the pills tonight? The tomorrow day will be different?"

"I don't know,let's not take them" Mary said putting he pills under her pillow,thing that Luna made too.

The next day,Luna wakes up and saw Mary's bed empty. The sun spread his light in the room and suddenly she realize what is that place.

She couldn't remember anything? Why? Only few pictures crossed her mind,a doctor saying repeatedly that those are nightmares,nothing is real.

"Where I am? Who am I? But the most important why I can't remember anything? They told me that i was only imagining,dreaming;those was only nightmares.I have to run from here,to find out my past"she said with loud voice looking in the mirror.

Mary enter in room with a big smile in her face; trowing herself on the bed said slowly

"Have you ever smelled those roses from the garden? Even the wind has a different smell in this morning. Hey,what's with this face Luna?"

"We have to run from here,as soon is possible. Are you with me or not?"

"I'm in sis,count on me"

Few days,the girls planned the escape,choosing the most easy way,the garden fence.

Waiting until midnight,the girls sneak out,easy until in garden. There,was a leader hidden from few days ago by Mary; she stole it from janitor's closet.

"We did it,we did it" both girls was whispering,hugging tight,then running,faster from there.

After a while,the girls was sitting on a bench at a bus stop.

"Mary,we will enter in first bus. No matter where will take us,as long we are far away from here. By the way,why you were in center? We are friends but you never told me, and with all those pills and crap... Are you avoid to tell me something?"

"No silly, but I had my mind flying away. You get it? Ughh, it was a bad joke. I had a very bad depression and in one night,I lost myself. I climbed on a roof and screaming that I'm Superman and I will fly away. Only my panties flew away"

"Oh,that's funny, at least you know why you were there. I don't know anything,it's like someone washed all my past memories. I cam only remember the center,the doctors and nurses."

A bust stopped and the girls stepped inside. Where will stop? How the future will look like?
