Jeydon’s p.o.v

“well thanks for staying with me Jeydon!” I’m really happy she’s not fangirling, maybe she doesn’t realize who I am, but im really glad. She seems like a nice girl, she’s different. “its not a problem!” the bus pulls up and we both get on. The seats are back to back facing eachother, so we sit across from one another. “So what stop are you going to?” she thinks for a second, then says “I believe it’s the fifth stop, what about you?” huh what a coincidence! “ actually that’s a street away from where I live haha so the same stop!” She looked.. relieved? “oh good, I don’t have to get off and walk completely alone haha” that explains it!

We talk for a while and get to know eachother better. I found out that her favorite color is teal, and she likes lilies, despite their meaning of death she thinks their pretty. She’s 18, as am I, and she lives alone. She likes to work out and play ultimate Frisbee with her best friend Madison. She has a really interesting personality, which I was looking forward to finding out more about, but the bus came to our stop. I had walked her down the street and gave her a hug goodbye. “Bye Jeydon,  it was really nice meeting you! Thanks for everything!” She was about to just leave but I couldn’t let her get away.

“Chris!” she turned around and said “yeah what’s up?” how am I gunna say this, I mean its gunna sound crazy, I just met her! ‘Come on J, man up!’ the voice in my head is right. “I was uh wondering, um”, I stammered on quite nervously, “if you would like to go out to dinner sometime maybe?” she looked excited, but that look quickly dropped and was replaced by a look of sympathy. “Listen Jey, it was really cool meeting you and all, and you’re a great guy don’t get me wrong but”, oh no here it comes, im getting rejected. What was I thinking? Of course she wouldn’t like me. She continued, “but the thing is, I already have a boyfriend, im sorry.” Ouch.. that stung a little. “umm oh sorry. Im just gunna um go.. yeah”  I walked off as fast as I could before she could see that first tear stream down my cheek.  I could hear her calling my name, but I kept walking, I just need some time to think.
