a/n; this part is a few months later
everything is going good with james and i. I just got back to my house from our date to the movies. we saw moana but i don't really remember anything about it because we were kissing the whole time. Valentine's day is soon but i have no idea edgy me and james are going to do so i decide to text james about it.
soleil: hey bae:) soo what are we doing for v day?
james: ummm dinner and a movie?
soleil:sounds good:) where are we going for dinner?
james:you'll see;)
soleil:ughhhh okayyy🙄
a few days later i text brooklyn and tell her to come over and help me pick out and outfit for james and i'd date. she gets to my house about 10 minutes later. after hours of searching through my clothes, brooklyn has finally put together the perfect outfit. a creme coloured tie up crop top sweater, some ripped jeans, a flannel to tie around my waist, and some flats to dress it up a little bit. "it's perfect!!" i say as soon as she shows it to me. -the next day (the day before valentine's day) -
james: hey bae:(
soleil: why so sad?
james: i'm too sick and i can't make it to our date tomorrow:( i'm really sorry i was looking forward to it but i have the flu 😷
soleil: awh that's okay i hope you feel better soon:)😘💓
after hearing about james' flu, i decide to bring him a basket of chocolate and a whole bunch of other presents. after i put the basket together, i head to james' house to deliver it to him. his mom answers the door and i tell her about my plan so she lets me go up to james' room. "james i brought something to make you feel bett--" i stop mid sentence as my brain is trying to take in what's happening. there he is. james. perfectly fine. not sick. with that bitch ella. they're sitting side by side staring at me but i know they were making out before. "REALLY?!? I COME TO GIVE YOU A PRESENT AND I SEE YOU WITH THAT SKANK?!? HONESTLY JAMES, HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME? IVE BEEN NOTHING BUT GOOD TO YOU AND YOU JUST GO BEHIND MY BACK AND DO THIS?! LIKE IF YOU WANT TO BE WITH HER THEN BE WITH HER BUT BREAK UP WITH ME FIRST! you know what? i'll save you some trouble. we're done!" " no soleil wait! it's not what you think! i can explain just give me a minute." "what? you were getting the venom out of her lip?" he doesn't say anything. i turn my back and stomp away.
when i finally get home i walk in my door sobbing. i don't know what to think. why me? why would he do this? "sweety what's wrong?" my mom asks as she rushes to see me. "nothing mom. i don't want to talk about it right now. i just need some time alone" i say through my cries. "okay then. just remember, i'm here if you need to talk." she tells me with her caring mother voice.
