(Austin's POV)
I was making my way to my car to go to elementary school to pick up Bianca when Carter caught up with me.
"Hey dude, how was your first day at Benjamin?" Carter says, refering to the school, Benjamin Banneker High School.
"Pretty good, I hope I'll like it here." I say, mostly hoping that Bianca was okay today.
"I hope you do too, dude. Whatcha doin' tonight?" ...How is he so happy all the time?
"No clue, why?"
"X, Amanda and I are going bowling around 8 if you wanna come. I can give you directions or pick you up..." As he was saying this we reached my car, a *idk what car yet*.
"I'll have to ask my mom but sure, sounds fun. Uhm, you could call me to give me directions." I gave him my number and drove to the elementary.
As I walked through the front door, I felt like a giant towering over all the little kids. I sat on a bench under a window box displaying art, the spot i told Bianca to meet me at. After a few minutes i saw one of the twins i saw in biology today walk in. The one who with the stormy blue eyes and the bright blue hat. She gave me a small wave but stood on the other side of the hall. Bianca and a little boy with a transformers backpack were walking down the hall. She made a friend! Wait... what were they doing. He could sign. They were signing. My sister found someone her age who could talk in sign language. Bianca was practically glowing, she was so happy that she could talk to someone. When she saw me she waved goodbye to the little boy and ran toward me. I stood up, opened my arms and picked her up in what she calls a texas hug, since there's a city in texas named after me... Well, it's not really named after me but who am i to burst her bubble? The little boy ran to the girl in the blue hat and they walked out holding hands. I am definitly going bowling tonight.

(Xavia's POV)
"Carter, like i said, I have homework, i am not going bowling."
"But X, you promised. And i don't have friends besides you and Amanda so you're obligated to come."
"I didn't promise, you just walked into my house and told me that we're going bowling. What about that new guy, aren't you friends with him?"
"That's the thing... He's coming... but i kinda told him that you and Amanda are coming..." Carter said under his breath with a sheepish smile.
"Fine. Since you already told someone else that we were going." I say, finally giving up. I didn't really have any homework anyways.
"Yes! Thank you Xaviaaaahhhh!!" Carter sang as he ran to grab a cookie from the kitchen. I glance at my mirror and looked at my outfit. I was wearing trainers, my painting jeans and a paint splattered white shirt. Ew. How did Amanda let me out of the house this morning? By the time Carter came back my closet and dresser had both thrown up all over my room. And i stood in the middle, holding shirt after shirt infront of me in the mirror and tossing them aside.
"Dressing to impress someone X?" He said, leaning in the door way with a big grin on his face. A blush bloomed across my face and i dropped my head to let my hair fall to cover it as i murmured a no. Amanda came to my rescue, coming to the door and squeezing past Carter to pick up some cute skinny jeans and a solid black top. She nudged Carter out and closed the door, rummaging for shoes while I changed. She found my favorite black boots and handed them to me. I was all ready. I stood infront of the mirror, Amanda beside me in jeans, brown mocassins and a soft pint ruffly top. I was smiling at us when she tugged at my hat. My smile vanished and my hands went to my head.
"Please give it back Amanda. I can't leave the house with out my hat, you know that." I plead, refusing to look in the mirror. My twin sister gently pulled my hair.
"I know. But, I can't. Not yet. Please Manda..." I reach for my hat. Amanda gives me a stern look but places it on my head, just the way i like it. She gives me an apologetic smile. As if on cue, a knock sounds at the door. Amanda opens it to reveal Carter holding an entire plate of cookies, with one in his his hand and one in his mouth. He never ceases to make me smile. I laugh and snag a cookie and grab my purse, motioning toward the door so we can leave.
"BYE MOOOMM!!!!!" I yell as i open the front door.
"BYE MOOOOMMM!!!" Carter yelled right before he shut it... Amanda grins but I just shake my head and walk to the car.
"X will you take my phone and call Austin for me please?" Carter asks as we get into his little red honda.
"Uh, okay..." I say, taking his phone as i got into the passenger seat.
"We're picking him up."
"Oh. Okay." I dialed the number but then just gave it back to Carter. He gave me a look. "You can drive and talk at the same time. Trust me, I would know." He rolled his eyes and pulled out of the drive way, following Austin's directions to his house.
