My New Dads (EXO adoption story)

ARIANTHE POV

Xiumin, D.O, Lay appa and I are at the supermarket getting groceries for dinner tonight, we are in the vegetable section getting tomatoes and onions.

"D.O appa lets get this tomato its the biggest out of the bunch" I suggested holding it up, he took it from my hand and put it in the bag, I looked around the vegetables admiring the nice colors on them I turn to my right and I see him.

LEE POV
I'm at the grocery store with my mom after my soccer game, we won and mom was treating me to some bibimbop and kimchi, we are in the vegetable aisle and my mom's getting some vegetables for dinner tonight, man I can't wait.

"LEE!" I hear a familiar voice yell, I turned to the shout and saw Ari.

"Ari?" I said questioning if that was really her. She ran towards me with open arms, I opened my own and bent down to her height embracing her, I missed her a lot.

"Lee, I'm so glad to see you again, see I told you we would see each other again." She said hugging me a bit tighter. I smiled at her comment.

"I knew you were right all along" I said smiling hugging her back just as tight. I looked up to see Xiumin, Lay, and D.O looking at us like 'who the heck are you and why are you hugging our daughter' I pulled away a bit and Ari looked at me then followed my gaze to her appas, she let go of me and turned to her attention to them.

"Appas this is Lee, Lee these are my Appas, he was the one who dropped me off at your dorm that day" she introduced us. I got up from my crouched position and shook hands with them bowing my head a bit to each in respect.

"Appas can me and Lee sit on the bench and talk while you shop for rest of the groceries?" She asked excited, I looked at the EXO members as the looked at each other for approval.

"Alright, you can go talk and catch up, but make sure nothing bad happens Lee" Xiumin said to me firmly. I nodded understanding their concern, Ari jumped up and down then grabbed my hand leading me somewhere.

"Mom I'm gonna go to the bench to talk to Ari!" I called out as we passed by her.

"Alright son, I'll get you before it's time to leave" she said still looking at the two different types of mushrooms debating which one was the better deal. We got to the front of the store where the benches were and Ari pointed for me to sit and so I did. She sat crisscross apple sauce next to me turning so she was facing my side, I looked over at her and she was happily smiling.

"So how is your new life with your Appas as EXO?" I asked her.

"Oh it's tons of fun, they treat me oh so well and love me, and I love them all to the teensiest tiniest bits in the universe , their my family" she exclaimed, I smiled at her response, she finally had that family she's always wanted and she seems so happy.

"That's good, glad to hear you got to have that family you always dreamed of" I said she nodded her head before looking back at me.

"Well how's life going with your new family?" She asked curiously. I looked around a bit to collect my thoughts on my adopted family before answering.

"Well they're really great, they care for me and love me as if I was their real son and at this point I might as well be, it's like I was never adopted and have always been there." I said smiling meaning every word. She smiled back and tackled me into a hug.

"I'm so glad Lee, you deserve a family that loves you and treats you well" I hugged her back before letting go letting her go back to her crisscross applesauce. We talked for a little while longer before my mom came to say it time to go, Ari had a very evident look of sadness on her face to know that I was leaving. I pulled an extra soccer tournament flyer from my pocket and ripped a piece off, borrowing a pen from my mom I wrote down my phone number and bent down to her height and gave it to her.

"Here, show this to your appas and tell them that if you ever want to talk to me that you call this number and I'll try my best to get to you as soon as possible, ok?" I told her, she nodded her head and then gave me one last hug before running over to her appas. I watched her to make sure she got to them before finally leaving with my mom.
