Week One. Preparation!
I'm excited to start this challenge! I took one look and got interested immediately, haha! As a new-ish witch, I think this will be a wonderful learning experience for me. I'll learn a lot and I am happy about that! I have a lot of trouble completing things on time but since this challenge is so well done and interesting to me, I think I will be fine. :)
I've decided to quickly (but I won't rush!) complete the first two weeks and a half, so I can catch up to where the challenge is supposed to be right now. I'll update once a week, one chapter per week!
So, about myself! I am a nonbinary person (They or Him please!) and a secular witch! Having been born in late July, I am a Leo, but I don't know any more than that. I don't have an urge to learn about astrology. I am afraid of driving, wasps and being alone. I am super lazy and if I stop a project for more than three days, it may not be continued for weeks or months.
For magick, I am comfortable with doing a lot of things but some I am a bit uncertain of. I am willing to do blood magick, but perhaps when I am more experienced at the Craft (As I call it) and feel comfortable doing stronger magick. I want to try astral projecting in the future, but again- I don't feel ready for this. I have a lot to learn before I feel I have enough experience and knowledge to try this. It also may take a while for me to try and communicate with a spirit of some kind- but I am still somewhat interested in trying one day.
I have no rules of practice, I guess.. I do not follow any "laws" of religion or any deities. I suppose I am wary of the concept of karma- If I do something bad I will worry a little about it but it would be quickly forgotten. I guess I don't believe in that.
The most common items used in my craft include jars and paper. Jars! Wonderful things. I like to keep them around as charms, spell jars or to give as gifts. Paper, because I use sigils so much! This counts, right? Since I am just starting out, I have not used many materials- I have not done any proper spells or rituals yet or tried any form of divination. I've only properly used sigils and charm jars, haha.

A RITUAL OR SPELL TO WELCOME IN THE NEW YEAR:
I want to create a spell or such with a main theme of change, with a bit of positivity. For I am striving to make myself better this year, and it is one where I will have new experiences outside of the Craft and I wish for help with adjusting to these. I like to use herbs, so I'll look for a couple to help with that. I will incorporate fire to help it be passionate and strong.
Oregano for change and strength. Cayenne for anti negativity, protection and cleaning. Cumin for happiness and protection.
Find a place that would be okay if you dropped a small flame on- concrete, perhaps. Put a tiny pinch of each herb or spice on a piece of paper and hold over a lit tea candle to charge. It's okay if it catches alight, just drop it into the flame. Say, whisper or think whatever phrase comes to mind. Perhaps a wish for a happy year.
