As I walk off the boat, James helps me so I don't fall. He led me to a pickup truck and opened the door for me. I climbed in and saw a fat driver behind the wheel. "Hello," he said and I nodded to him. James climbed in behind me then the man started driving.

"Stop up here," James said and the man nodded. When the pickup stopped, James helped me out then closed the door so the man could leave. We were standing in front of a big white house. It was three stories tall and five or six rooms wide. There were beautiful flowers around the house and along the sidewalks. The ones I liked the most were the white roses with red tips near the front steps. The front porch has a pretty lady sitting in the porch swing with a little boy. She stood up and walked over to us. She was tall, skinny, and very pretty. Her blond hair flowed down her back and her green eyes sparkled.

"Hello, my name is Sammantha More," she held out her hand and we shook it. "This is my son, Sammy." Sammy was hiding behind her. "Come out and say hello, Sammy." He stood my her side but held her dress in front of him.

"Hi." He quickly went behind her again.

"How about we go inside?" Sammantha asked and James nodded.

"Alright." We walked in and Sammy ran into a room.

"There here, Father," I heard him say and heard a few pairs of feet walking. Soon, a man and another young boy were standing in front of me. This boy looked a little older than me.

"Hello, I'm John and this is my oldest son, Josh." We shook hands.

"I'm James, I'll be making sure Auberon sets in alright," James said and John nodded.

"Alright, Josh, show Auberon her room while I talk to James." Josh nodded and held out his arm for me. I stepped back and he frowned. James put his hand on my lower back to keep me from moving any further back.

"He won't hurt you," he said.

"He looks like him," I said and he frowned.

"Like who?" John asked and I shook my head.

"John, wasn't your brother a German soldier?" Sammantha asked and he nodded.

"Wait here while I get something." John left us then came back with a picture. He held it up and I tried to back away from it. "Have you seen him before?" He pointed to the picture of him and his brother. They were twins.

I nodded. "He was the one that-" I stopped and looked down. John put the picture behind him and looked at Sammantha.

"Take her to her room." Sammantha nodded and walked over to me.

"Come with me, honey." She held her hand out and I took it. She led me up to the second floor and into a nice, light blue room. There was a nice big bed, a dresser, wardrobe, and two doors on one wall. "You can put your clothes in the dresser and wardrobe. You get a bathroom to yourself and that door leads to the balcony, but don't go out there until we get the rails on it, alright?" I nodded. "How many suitcases do you have?" she asked and I looked away.

"None." Her smile disappeared.

"Oh, then we can go out and buy you some," I shook my head.

"I have a dress and shoes, you don't need to waste money on me," I said and she shook her head.

"Nonsense, we'll go after you have eaten." She took me back downstairs and Sammy walked over to me. He poked my leg then walked behind me and hugged my legs.
