I was completely in a daze when the guy named Nickias left.

"Let's go to class, shall we?" Ellisandra's melodious voice snapped me out of my daze. I nodded.

We took a few steps and soon we arrived the classroom. To my bad luck, it was nearly full and all the students were looking at me as if I was some kind of alien ready to attack them. Some girls snickered, others looked completely shocked. But why would they be shocked?

"Come, let's go there." Ellisandra gestured to one empty desk which was just before the last row. I nodded and followed her.

Once we took our seats, the students resumed with what they were doing. "So, let me tell you beforehand, we have Maths class with Mr. Williams but we call him Rabbit. You'll soon know why." Ellisandra explained.

She was still filling me up when once again the class went silent. I'd expected the teacher came but to my surprise, it was not the teacher but the gorgeous yet dangerous looking guy, Nickias. Along with him were four other guys who looked as muscular as him but Nickias seemed to be the one who led the group. He wore jeans that seemed to hang on his hips and a plain white shirt along with a leather jacket which seemed to add a more threatening aura to him. The others were more or less dressed like him except the leather jacket.

I don't know why but he seemed to intimidate me.

"What?!" He shouted in his deep baritone voice making me flinch. Even though this was not targeted at me, he still frightened me. "Just do your work." He snapped at everyone who was looking at him as if he was some kind of God. He turned his head and his gaze met mine. My breath got caught in my throat. I immediately dropped my eyes to the table.

From the corner of my eyes, I saw him take long strides and he was walking towards where I was sitting. No, no, no. damn!

He took a seat just behind me.

Few minutes later, the teacher came. He apologized for being late and while he was talking I noticed something in his teeth and I understood why Ellisandra said they called him Rabbit. He had teeth similar to those of rabbits.

"So, I can see we have a new student among us today." Shoot! Please no. "Miss Angelina Blackburn." He looked around the class and knowing I had no other choice, I reluctantly lifted my sore hands up. "Ah, there you are. Come and introduce yourself." He asked.

"We are no longer in primary school, Mr. Rabbit." I heard the deep voice behind me. As much as I hated the fact he was being rude to an elderly person, I really didn't want to introduce myself. I was hoping that Mr. Williams changed his mind but his expression said otherwise.

"Nobody asked for your opinion, Mr. Corisi. And how come you've graced us with your presence today?" Mr. Williams shot back.

"I was just missing your ugly face." Nickias retorted which made the entire class erupt in laughter. Mr. Williams' face turned red in anger.

"Just shut your mouth before I throw you out of the class, Mr. Corisi." Mr. Williams threatened. "Miss Blackburn, come and introduce yourself, please." Guess, I didn't have any other choice now.

I slowly got up from my seat and walked in front of the class.

"Um, hello everyone," I mumbled lowly and fiddled with my fingers. There were few hellos and more giggles. "I'm Angelina Blackburn. I-I--" I had no idea what to say more and it seems like the whole class wanted to know about me.

"Well where do you come from and what are your likes and dislikes?" The teacher prompted. I made the mistake of lifting my head and my eyes met the green orbs of Nickias who was intensely gazing at me, making me even more nervous.

"I was born in London. Before I came here, I was living in Boston. And I like reading." I said, looking at anywhere but Nickias.

"So, how do you find Majenta Falls and this school?" Isn't he bored of his questions?!

"Um, it seems very mysterious." I don't know what came to my mind to say that but once those words were out of my mouth, I noticed Nickias' lips lift upwards, as if he was holding a smirk.

"Okay. Well I hope you enjoy staying here." The teacher smiled encouragingly. "Anyone has any questions?" I saw a girl who wore lots of makeup on her face lift her hands. "Yes, Cassandra?"

"Why do dress like a beggar?" She asked in her sharp voice making some girls next to her laugh as if they had heard the joke of her life.

"Um, why do you have so much cake on your face, Cassandra?" Ellisandra came to my rescue before I even had the chance to answer. On hearing Ellisandra's comeback, Cassandra huffed and rolled her eyes.

"You may go, now Miss Blackburn." The teacher said. I kept my head down while I walked to my desk.

"Thank you." I murmured to Ellisandra.

"Hey, what are friends for. Besides, I hate that girl." Ellisandra shot daggers at Cassandra.

The teacher started explaining algebra and I slowly leaned back against my seat so that I don't hurt myself.

"I told you, we'll meet soon, little one." Nickias' husky voice tickled my neck. Heat crawled my cheeks and I felt his eyes bore into the back of my skull. I decided to ignore him and started taking notes but I had to stop at times because my right hand was hurting like hell. The bruise he gave me was still very much present.

"Hey are you okay?" Ellisandra touched my shoulder making me gasp lowly. Her eyes were on my wrist and she looked back at me.

"Yeah, I'm fine." I replied. She sounded undure but nodded. Mr. Williams announced he had to leave for a few minutes, and he asked us to read page 244 meanwhile.

"So, let me introduce you to the rest." Ellisandra said, turning towards Nickias and his friends. "So this is Dylan, Caleb, Michelangelo and Ryan." She pointed at each guy.

"Hello." I mumbled and the guys replied with a wave.

"What happened to your wrist?" Nickias asked. My eyes widened and when I looked at him, I noticed his eyes had darkened. I hope he did not notice anything. I was careful enough though.

"N-Nothing." I lied making him narrow his eyes at me.

"Then why were you cradling it?" He said sharply making me blink my eyes. How come he was so observant?!

"I-I—" I was cut by Ellisandra.

"Oh come on Nickias. Will you please stop playing the detective?" Once again she came to my rescue. May God always bless her. But this seemed to displease Nickias because he glared harshly at her. Ellisandra, however seemed completely unfazed by this.

I was then saved by Mr. Williams who came back to class and resumed with the explanations.

"I expect an explanation, little one." Nickias said in a low tone so that only I could hear him, making me gulp.
