a few months into their relationship

The first time Louis has seen Eleanor cry was on a sunny morning at her university.

She was going through something with her family and it was affecting her day.

I remembered how alarmed and uncertain Louis felt that day. He didn't know what to do because Eleanor rarely cries in front of someone.

In fact, she hates crying in front of someone. She prefers to come off as a prude than being labeled weak.

"I just- I'm fed up you know? I did everything to impress them. And I still am. I am trying my best for them to at least appreciate me but they won't and I'm so tired of it." Eleanor ranted.

"El, life will break you. Nobody can protect you from its harshness. That's why you have to embrace it. Feel it and risk your heart because if you wind up bruised, dying or lose the battle, remember that just because the rose had painful thorns on its stem doesn't mean the flower at the top isn't beautiful. Life is a package of both good and bad things, if you cut it and only get the good part, the rose will wilt and die"

"Sometimes you just need to cry and to be sad. You need to break down and to be torn apart. You need to pick yourself up and put yourself back together. Sometimes, the only way to be happy is to give in to sadness first." Louis said, comforting Eleanor

Right then and there, I knew that this was true love. This is true love.

Louis spoke with so much passion in his voice that made Eleanor wonder if he truly is made for her.

What she didn't know though, that while she is busy admiring his boyfriend, he is also busy doing the same to her.
