Pizza Rolls

I tried opening my eyes but nothing was there.
Darkness surrounded me, and only the sounds of
Nickleback could be heard. "Who in the hell, still
listens to nickleback." I mumbled to myself, trying to
recall the events that happened last night.

I reached up to cover my ears but was instead greeted with a piece of string tied to a cloth. On my eyes. Someone put a damn sleeping beauty mask on me.

I made a series of grunts and unexplainable noise then promptly sat up and ripped the mask off my face. I walked towards the uh, music (I guess) and turned it off. "Silence and prosperity at last. Who dares to listen to this in my presence!" I yelled through the seemingly empty apartment.

There was a faint sound below me, groaning in reply. It got louder as the time went by until it sounded like an opera of mating whales who just so happened to be dying at the same time. 'Good morning to you too, stomach'

I sighed and slowly walked to the fridge, now realizing I was in my own apartment, and grabbed a handful of pizza rolls.

I threw them in the microwave, straight onto the weird glass spin thing. 'Im dying' I thought 'What's the point of using a plate when i can just eat it straight out of the heating box.'

When it was done, I grabbed the glass plate from inside the microwave and climbed out my window to the fire escape.

I sat on the ledge, looking at the world, eating my luxury meal. Will the world change at all when im gone, or will I just be another insignificant pizza roll? The thought made me angry. Angry at the world for striking down the innocent instead of the guilty. Angry that it saw me as unfit to survive. Angry at myself for caring.

I hit my leg against the railing to clear my thoughts, but as soon as that happened, I dropped my pizza rolls . I was on the fourth floor, and without thinking, I went to catch the falling plate.

I easily slipped off of the ledge and started diving head first towards the pavement. It was the moment before I collided into the rocky surface that I saw a man standing at the bottom.

Was he watching me the whole time?

All that could be heard after that was a loud crack .        Everything went dark.
