It was a day like any other. A girl by the name of Emily slugged out of her bed trying to think of a better way to start her morning besides going to work. "Emily Carter get yourself down here this instant!",her mum yelled from the kitchen. "Fine!",Emily yelled from her bedroom, sleep still in her eyes. She ran down the stairs, almost tripping and falling,to diminish her mum's yelling. "You're going to be late for work!",her mother rudely remarked as if she didn't know. "Well sometimes I wish they would just fire me so I could live my life....I have to go!",she said to her mother after looking at the clock. They exchanged goodbyes and Emily left for work.
Walking through the streets of Cardiff is where she felt at home. Maneuvering herself through the busy crowds was her definition of a good time. But today was different. There was a man,a strange man, looking straight at her. Becoming more and more cautious, she found her way to work at last. "Good morning Emily." a coworker said as Emily walked in. She shook her head as a friendly gesture and moved on. The day went by,slowly but surely. Finally, closing time came; it was about 11:00 at night and Emily was uneasy about wondering into the night, knowing the man might still be there. The store closed and Emily was right,he was still there. But there was a different glow about him, something that was almost comforting. "Why are you following me?" she asked the man. "Just...Observing from a distance" he replied. She was puzzled. She kept replaying those words in her mind, trying to figure out what they ment. Before she could reply, the man continued. "Listen,my name is The Doctor and I need your help." The Doctor? She wondered about that name. "What could you possibly need my help with?" asked Emily. "No time to explain...Run."
Emily did as she was told. She ran along side of a total stranger, unaware of what she was getting herself into. By that time, the man stopped at a 1950ish police box. Police public call box it said at the top. Emily looked at the man who gingerly unlocking the door of the blue box. "What are we going to do in here?",giving a look of doubt to the man. " Please, trust me." he said. He opened the door of the box and rushed both Emily and himself into it. A glimmer of amazement struck into her eyes..." It's bigger on the inside.",she said looking at the enormous, never ending ship. The deck of the ship held a large center piece,a console for all she knew...but for what? Here she got a good look of the man. Tall,slender....he wore a suit that didn't fit quite right. The suit was blue with a red tie,and on top of that was a long, light brown coat that went down to his feet. He wore red converse, which kind of threw everyone off because of the formal suit he wore. His face was beautiful and slender, and his hair was all sticky uppy. He stared at Emily with his brown eyes, noticing her noticing him. "So,whats your name?" he asked. "Ummmmmm.....Emily,Emily Carter." she said, stumbling over her words. "Emily,Emily Carter",he repeats "sounds like a name out of a fairy tale." then he realized that she wasn't 9,she was 18 and not exactly one to mess around with when she doesn't understand something. So, he started to explain everything that he thought that she needed to know. She learned that the ship was called a TARDIS.

Emily doubted that the TARDIS traveled in time and space, until The Doctor took her to New New New New New New New New New New New New York, in the year five million. From then on she trusted him full-heartily and never questioned him about anything. Through her journeys, she realized that she was starting to love him. She cared for him unlike any other, and she vowed to herself that she would never get separated from him. The only thing keeping her away is she realized that he is over 900 years old,and that he has probably loved someone else and can not love anyone else anymore. She often questioned the looks he gave her,the look of sorrow in his eyes, but there was love and warmth in them too. She didn't know what it was about him but she knew that she was going to spend the rest of her life with him. And so did he.
