A summer in Sligo

To hard to say goodbye-I'll see you again

We've had three weeks left, we could spend together. Every night I was with Shane.  The days I spend together with Nico, till Shane came back from work. We didn't talked about the goodbye till the fourth last day.
"Sophia, we have only three days till you've to go back. I cannot be without you. Please stay here. My flat is big enough." "Shane I cannot stay here. Have my work, my flat. I will come back as soon as I can." "Let's go to the hospital and ask for a job." "Oh, that's a good idea." "Would you come to Sligo and leave Dublin?" "Yes, of course. I love you so much." "I love you too." "When did Nico said is the dinner?" "He said at 6pm. Why?" "It's 5pm now.", I whispered while starting kissing his ear. "Sophia.", he sighed.  I kissed him on the neck till his chest. I looked in his eyes. "Come with me Shane.", I took his hand. We went into the bedroom.

"Hey, my faverouite couple is here. You look like somone died."
"It's like dying Nico, if you have to leave the one you love more than your life." "But Shane is not out of the world." "I will ask for a job here in Sligo, Nico." "Your job in Dublin is good paid." "I know, but to be with Shane is priceless." "If there is no chance for Sophia to get a job and leave Dublin I will leave Sligo." "But Shane,  you have your students here and your friends,  the pub, your horse." "I cannot be happy to have all this things when you're not here." "I will leave Dublin. All my friends are in whole Dublin.  A job as nurse is easy to find. I have no animals I would have to leave and Nico.... Nico you can spend the holidays or weekends in Shanes guest room." "I will miss you sisterheart.  But if you're happy with it, then do it. You know you can always come back. And Shane, I hope you'll never break her heart." "Never Nico, never. I love her since the day you've arrived here."
"I know Shane.  I saw it in your eyes. My sister.... she liked you from the first day. She didn't showed it." I smiled.  "That's right. I've had enough from men, that's why I ignored you. Sorry." "But I got you babe." I laughed. "That was karaoke our song." "So now let's eat. Nico what meal did you cooked?" "I have selfmade pizza. Enjoy." "Oh, I know your pizza. Delicious."

Two days before our goodbye we went to the hospital to ask for a job. They said that they need a nurse and I should bring my application.

Now the last evening was there. We spend the time in the pub. Shane and Nico sung together a few songs and then "Uptown Girl " together with Kian and Mark. Shane sung "All you need to know" and then we danced to the music. In our last night we couldn't sleep. My head layed on Shanes shoulder and he put the arm around me.

Then it was time to say goodbye. "Bye, Shane. It was nice to meet you.  You're a good friend." "Same to you Nico.  Thanks for coming." "Now we have to say goodbye Shane.", I cried. "Sophia, you'll come back. I'm sure you'll get the job." "Oh Shane", I sighed. We kissed us very long. "Sophia, sorry, but we should go now.", Nico said. I hugged Shane, he held me very close. "I love you Sophia." "I love you Shane." Then I got in the car. My face was full of tears, also Shanes.

Two days later I got a letter from the hospital in Sligo.  Nico was there when I opened the letter. "Oh my god, they want me.", I screamed. "Congrats Sophia." "Nico, I will not tell it Shane.  It's gonna be a surprise." It was hard to skype with Shane without telling him the news. I wrote a dismissal for my job and flat. Only three weeks and I would see Shane again and live in Sligo.

Two days before I started with my new job. I drove to Shane with some boxes. I rung at the door. When Shane opened it I cried. "Shane.", I hugged and kissed him. "Sophia, finally." "I've missed you so much." "To bad we have only the weekend." "Shane,  I didn't told you about it. I wanted to surprise you. I've got the job in the hospital and I'll start on Monday." "That means you'll stay here now?" "Yes, I've brought my first boxes full of clothes. Nico will bring me the things I need." "Can you imagine how happy I'm?" "Unbelievable happy?" "Yes". He kissed me and held me close the whole day. "I said it. It's hard to say goodbye,  but we'll see us again."
