The night was blissfully comforting and filled with the quiet chirping of birds. A young man glared at the stars from his very own rooftop. A quiet laugh escaped from his soft lips. Reaching into the deep pocket belonging to the laced coat he was wearing, he pulled out a small book. The book looked as if three wars had been fought on it,with it's rough edges and ripped sides. Flipping through the pages, that quiet laugh was heard once more. "It feels great to finally become a father," he said aloud. The young man's name was Crest Hathaway and he never expected what happened next.

Mr.Nork rode into the streets of monotopolis on his diamond encrusted horse. People raced out of their houses to greet him, bowing at the very sight of Nork. Nork's mouth twisted into a mischievous grin. The blood red eyes that belonged to Nork, could make anyone cringe in fear by simply staring into them. He had a rough build, with muscles sharper than the steel of a blade. Jet black hair raced down his forehead, covering his eyebrows, making it harder to figure out his feelings and thoughts. Silver armor covered his entire body, making him much more menacing. "Thankyou,Thankyou," said Nork, his voice colder than ice. As Nork drew nearer to the entrance of his beloved castle, Darcy Hathaway stopped in front of him."State what you want or get the hell out of my way," said Nork. Darcy Hathaway had bright blonde hair with sparkly green eyes. Wrapped around her body was a laced winter coat. In the middle,a young child was strapped tightly to her chest. "I'm sorry Mr.Nork, but I'm afraid we're going to starve without any food and no deliveries have been made in that past week," she said, looking deeply into Nork's eyes. Nork laughed quite loudly. Darcy let out a small, "Huh?" Nork noticing this, said, "Did you really just speak to me like that?" Darcy shuffled in her shoes, holding her baby tighter then before.
"Sir,I didn't mean to come off as-" began Darcy. "Come off as what? Arrogant? Desperate? Needy??" said Nork, stepping off of his horse to confront Darcy. "I decide the rules around here for gods sake, you do not. You are a peck of dust,I am an emperor. You have no right to speak to me like that. You will receive food when I fit that it is right,do you understand that?" Darcy gulped and spoke, "Yes sir..." Nork smiled and jumped back on his horse. "Good, now get out of my way and let me through." Darcy did as she was told,as the baby on her chest began to cry. She tried to quiet it down without success. The other villagers grumbled and walked off after Mr.Nork's departure. "It's ok,shhhh," Darcy said to the infant. Just then, twin dragons roared from the sky, sending balls of fire towards the village.
