I wake up with my mom screaming my name like a crazy person from downstairs. You see, today was my very first day at NYU which made her almost as nervous and excited as I am right now. That's because my mom and I got really close since my prick of a dad abandoned us when I was like 4 years old, so we only had each other.

I instantly get up from my bed and run downstairs. My mom is already making breakfast and dancing around at the sound of Ed Sheeran's new single 'Shape of You' which we both love.

I give her a good morning kiss and sit on the table to eat my favorite meal of the day. As I eat my pancakes my mom goes on and on about my first day at the university.

"Mom, could you please not talk about it anymore? I'm starting to freak out." I say honestly.

She looks worried at me "I'm sorry honey, it's just that I want everything to work out perfectly today."

"I know you do, I really want that too. But you know how I freak out about first days. First days means meeting new people, going to a different place, socializing. That scares me."

In my head I start to think all of the possible things that can go wrong today. My mom just looks at me with a reassuring smile and gives me a hug saying that everything is going to be just fine.

As I finish my breakfast I run upstairs to get myself ready. I put on a pair of black jeans and my brand new hoodie from NYU. As soon as I'm ready I say goodbye to my mom and take the bus to campus.

I get there like a half hour earlier so I can find where my classes are going to be. My first class is English, I get to the classroom pretty fast so I'm the only one there. I sit at the back and read a book to pass the time.

As the time goes by, more and more students start to get in, one of them in particular caught my attention. He had long brown curls that rested right on top of his shoulders, beautiful emerald eyes that you could easily get lost just by looking at them and pink lips that probably hid a very charming smile.

I kept looking at him until he suddenly caught me. I was so embarrassed that I had to look away. He sat a few chairs afar and I could feel him staring at me. I thought of running away, but the teacher entered the classroom and started introducing himself and the mysterious boy kept staring at me the whole time. After a while I decided to ignore his constant staring and pay attention to what the teacher was saying.

"Hello everybody, I am professor Williams and I will be teaching you English and Literature this semester. Today I want you guys to introduce yourselves to the whole class just by saying your names so we can familiarize with one another."

He started asking everybody their names and I was already shaking. When he got to the curly boy, I looked at him and he stared deep into my eyes and simply said "I'm Harry Styles". He had a smug look on his face and I felt like he could hear everything I was thinking.

My turn came on eventually and I stuttered my name looking straight into the white board.

The day went by pretty quickly after that. I didn't get to see that Harry boy anymore, which I was very relieved. My last class of the day ended I went straight home and told my mom everything about my first day, except for the staring contest of course. Let's just say Harry is not really the kind of guy that my mom would approve.
