The time seems to be getting more slower and slower as I glare at the round clock waiting for it to strike at exactly twelve.

10 seconds

I grew more and more agitated as it just ticked to a slow agonizing pace.

(12:30 noon)

I immediately sprung out of the sleek looking chair and hurriedly looked for my handbag.

Opening the mahogany door, I walked in an unlady-like manner, not actually giving a fly if someone would see me

I round a corner to the left where the nearest elevator is located. I pressed the button while waiting patiently for it to open.

After a good five minutes of waiting, it finally opened revealing-

No one

I shrugged and went inside. Hitting the ground floor which is where I am heading. I pulled back and silently hummed an unfamiliar tune, tapping my finger on the cylindrical metal shaped thing, it made a slight sound, something like two metals being smashed repeatedly but a quiet and gentle one kind of type.

ding

Then it finally stopped. I straightened my pencil skirt and started to pace in a more graceful and ladylike manner than the last time. Well, a girl has to eat and on that time, I could almost eat a horse. Not that I would, it's just an exaggerated thought.

As soon as I stepped out, I saw a crowded place with business man and woman rushing all over the place as if something horrifying is chasing them.

I saw a young girl behind the reception desk talking to people while looking a bit stressed. She had a pair of blue eyes with red cherry lips, completely defining her slightly tinted cheeks while talking to a man. She looks like she was debating something with him as he glared at her. But everytime they talk, she grew more nervous as her cheeks turned to a warm color of salmon pink. Well, she looks like she's into him though.

Wasting no more time, I went up to her. As if sensing my presence, she looked up and sent me a warm smile. The unknown man looked up while excusing himself.

"Hello, how may I help you?"

"Hello, May I ask where the cafeteria is?" I asked as I thought of some chicken alfredo for lunch. Just the thought, I can already feel my stomach grumbling like it haven't eaten for days.

"Oh, pass that corridor over to the left then you will see a double door that will lead you to the cafeteria." I thanked her and made my way to heaven.
