The car ride to the restaurant wasn't as awkward as I thought it would be. We talked a little on the way there, but really started talking about things when we sat down at the restaurant. "So, how have you been? How's life been in the big apple without me?" asked Josiah. We technically never actually lived in the big apple. We grew up in the suburbs of Syosset. "It's been pretty good. I mean nothing big has really happened other than the fact that I graduated from NYU and now work at a wedding dress shop" I said to him.

"Do you like your job?" "Um, excuse me?" I asked in confusion. "Do you like your job?" "Well yeah, I get that but what do you mean by that?" "Do you like what you're doing? Or are you just doing that to get by? You were always a girl who dreamed really big. I remember you would always tell me that you wanted to own your own business and have your own fashion line and wedding dress line, what happened to that?" he seemed very concerned. "Well, Josiah. I don't really know. I mean I don't hate my job but I also don't love it. I just tell myself that at least I'm working in the industry and it pays the bills and each day I get one step closer to owning my own shop and line. You're right, I do want to own my own clothing line and store but right now I don't have the money for it. That's the main reason I'm working where I work. It gets me by with a few extra hundred dollars a month to save up for my business." "That's understandable. I just didn't know what was going on. Spence, I've always looked up to you. You've always chased after your dreams regardless of what anyone told you. You inspired me to become a pediatrician even though my father wanted me to be a football player." "That means a lot to me Josiah. I never knew that I actually inspired you." I said.

"Ya know Spence, I've missed you so much. I saw the back of your head and I knew it was you. I was afraid to talk to you, thinking maybe there was another guy. Maybe you found the one. After all these years, I've dated nobody, I've never even looked at another girl because I wanted you. Spencer, you were the love of my life. I thought about you every single day, I still think about you. Seeing you today brought all of the memories we had together rushing through my head." Oh my. Did Josiah Parker really just say that to me. He missed me? "Well, how do you know I don't have a boyfriend, what if I do?" I say with a flirty smile on my face. "Oh trust me, I know." Josiah says, giggling.

The dinner was perfect, it was much more perfect than I could've imagined. After we left the restaurant, we grabbed some coffee and just walked around the city. It was so romantic. We drove his car home and walked back to my house. We said our goodbyes and he dropped me off at the doorstep of my apartment. This night could've not been any more perfect. The next morning, I actually went to work on time. I couldn't stop smiling thinking about last night. "What are you so happy about Spencer?" Asked my boss Shauna. "Oh nothing, just ya know, loving life" I said.

It had been a few nights since Josiah and I had spoken, the last time we spoke was the night we went out on our date. I started panicking thinking that maybe he had already found someone better than me. I called my childhood best friend, Eleanor to tell her all about it since she has been so busy. I haven't gotten a chance to tell her about Josiah.

"Hello?" "I am so happy that you answered, I have some exciting news!" "OMG" she squealed like a sixteen year old cheerleader. "Tell me right now Spencer Lopes." "So, some new clients came in about a week ago and the best man just happened to be Josiah Parker. I freaked out when I saw him and tried to avoid him. He noticed me and walked up to me and started talking, that night we went out on a date and it was more perfect than I could have even imagined. He hasn't called me back since then and I am kind of freaking out. Eleanor, what if he found someone better than me and he is on a date with her now?"

"Spence, I'm sure he hasn't forgotten about you. He is probably busy with the wedding and I am sure he still has to do a lot of school work. Don't stress out about it, if you are so worried text him or call him! Guys don't always have to make the first move." "You're probably right, thank you so much Eleanor, I love you! I am going to go watch Gossip Girl and then head to bed. Shauna assigned me a part-time job planning weddings. She basically said if I don't take the position that I can go ahead and find a new job, so guess I'm stuck with wedding planning until further notice. I can't stand her. Anyways, we need a girls night soon! I'll talk to you later." I said. "You will have fun and you will do great, don't worry! Yes, girls night very soon! Goodbye and goodnight!" We both hung up and I watched a few episodes of Gossip Girl and fell asleep. I woke up the next morning with several texts from Josiah explaining why he hasn't texted or called me. He said that he was very busy with school. I called him on my way to work and we have a date Wednesday evening at Roberto's, one of my favorite places to eat at in Little Italy.
