Niall's POV

I was hanging out with the boys, when I got a call.

“Hello?” I walk away from the boys.

“Hey Niall! It’s Alexis. Ariana’s friend.”

“Oh right! How are you?”

“Great! I didn’t have your address, and Ari’s one of my best friends, and I was wondering if you wanted to come to my wedding?”

“When and where? And why didn’t you just ask Ari for my address?”

“Rochester. October 21 at 8. I didn’t ask her because it’s a surprise.”

“I get it! Err.. I think I can come. We’re playing near there that afternoon. Text me the information?”

“Yeah! Glad you can come!”

“Me too! Bye!”

“Bye!”

“Who was that?” Lou asks.

“Alexis. Ari’s friend. After we play Rochester next week, I’m going to her wedding.” I had been thinking about proposing to Ari for a while, and what better time than a wedding? I had been looking at engagement rings for a while, and I had my eye on one that was perfect. It was silver with a huge diamond in the middle, smaller ones around it, and a small sapphire. {Link in description.}

  --------------------------------------------------------

I was in the car, on the way to Alexis’s wedding, and my stomach was doing flips. I was going to ask my princess to marry me. I told the boys, and they had encouraged me. Lou even pulled me aside and gave me tips. I had decided what was going to happen. We would be dancing toward the end, and I would whisper that I have a surprise for her. She would close her eyes and I would lead her to a spot that’s never used. It would have a heart made of roses, and I would kneel in that. I was late (concert) and I walk in, and she’s sitting and eating with her friends. She looks beautiful in her bridesmaid dress. I call her, and she sees it’s me and walks away to answer it.

“Hey, Irish!” she says.

“Hey!” I say, so she couldn’t hear that I was there.

“What’s up?”

“Nothing really. I miss you. What are you up to, cutie?”

“I’m at Alexis’s wedding! I miss you too!” I sneak up behind her, knowing what’s coming next.

“I wish I could just hug you right now!” she says.

“So why don’t you?” I ask from behind her.

“Nialler!” she calls, running to me. She jumps into my arms, and I spin her around.

"What in the world are you doing here?!” she asks, giving me a huge kiss.

“Alexis asked me to come. She wanted to surprise you.”

“I’m so happy you're here!”

“So am I!” I say, putting her down. We dance and talk for a while, then as the party starts to wind down a tiny bit, I whisper “I have a surprise for you.” in her ear. She smiles at me and puts her shoes on and follows me.

“Close your eyes.” She gives me a suspicious look, and closes her eyes.

“NO peeking!” I say.

“Okay, Irish.” I find the heart that the boys made for me, and kneel.

“Open your eyes.”

“Oh my- Niall-“ her green eyes light up.

“Ari, I love you. With everything I have. You make me who I am. I couldn’t even begin to imagine a life without you. You mean the world to me- no, you are my world. People go all through life without a girl like you, and I feel sorry for them. Your my soul-mate and best friend. And with all my heart I ask you, Ariana Rose, will you marry me?”

“Of course I will. I love you.” I get up, and put her ring on her.

“Oh yeah, and you look beautiful tonight."

“So do you, ya dope."

“For you,” I say handing her a rose.

“Thank you,”

“You're welcome, princess,” I say, gabbing her jaw and crashing my lips on hers. When I kissed her last, she was my girlfriend. Now I’m kissing my future wife. Wife. Wow. It sounds so…permanent. I liked it. We walk back in hand-in-hand, and a slow song was playing. I ask her to dance, and she accepts. She puts her hands around my neck and I put my hands on her hips.

“I love this.” she says, resting her head on my shoulder.

“So do I.” We have fun for the next little while, and then I have to go.

“I have to get going…"

“No Niall. Stay.” Ari says, grabbing my hand.

“I can’t, I love you,” I say, kissing her.

“Oh! I almost forgot! I never take it off,” I say pulling out my key necklace.

“Me neither,” she says.

“Oh! That letter you sent me was perfect.”

“Like you?” I ask, leaving.

“I love you, Niall!”

“I love you too!”  I climb back onto the bus, where the boys are playing a card game.

“Hey guys!” I say, changing into sweats.

“Hey Niall!” they say in unison, “did she say no?” Harry asks, laughing.

“No,” I say, sitting next to Liam.

“What are you guys playing?”

“BS. I’m winning,” Lou says.

“How did it go?!” Zayn urges.

“Great! It was really cute. And she looked beautiful.”

“How cute!” Harry says.

“Yeah…” I say, telling them what happened.
