~Josh's POV~
I don't think she realizes that what's making her so 'not okay' is the fact she isolates herself from the world around her. She needs to see the world for what it really is not for just what she has seen. Because really it can be a wonderful captivating place. Unfortunately It's not so easy to convince her of that because she's seen all the bad. "Des?" I say my voice shy and scared, unlike how I usually am.
She sighs "Yes?" She says expectantly.
"Can I show you something when we get back to the hotel?" I say
She looks at me confused. "We are in the same hotel?" She asked, her brow furrowed in confusion.
I forgot I was going to surprise her with that.
"Oh...y-yeah." I don't really feel like explaining. Fortunately she doesn't ask about it.
"Okay dun, you can show me." She says
"Dun?" I ask. "You have never called me that..."
"Well I just did...Dun." She says a small smile in her lips.
"Oh my god Des your such a goof." I state. "Let's blow this popsicle stand." I say, and with that we chug the last of our drinks and head out of the casino to call a taxi.
~Destiny's POV~
As we sat in the taxi side-by-side, I couldn't help but look at Josh. His perfect lips, mocha eyes, toned body, and perfectly fluffy hair. He had always been to good for me, yet he was like the only family I had ever had. I looked at his face carefully, his lips were slack and he stared at his shoes, obviously in deep thought. I looked away, putting my focus on the Vegas lights.
When we arrived at the hotel, Josh opened my door and took my hand; which wasn't abnormal in our friendship. He lead me to his room quickly. "What's gotten you in such a rush?" I questioned.
"I've been waiting for this for a long time Destiny." He says quietly using my full name for once. He unlocks his door and when I see nothing but a normal hotel room, I am quite confused. He pulls me in, he suddenly seems scared. "I-I brought you here to tell you something I've wanted to tell you since we were just kids. Destiny...I love you, a-and in more than the friend way."
