chapter six - the past

Everything went black...

I woke up and my cheek hurted like crazy. i looked around and i saw i was in a hospital room, that reminds me of alot of horrible memories, long story.

i tried to remember what happened and then i did, this Chase boy hit me so hard on my cheek. but then his words messed with my mind

'i know what you did, i'm gonna find you and hurt you'

and to be honest yes i was scared and you probably think how does she knows Chase? well let me tell you..

It all started 2 years ago when i dated Chase and i still was friends with Justin, Justin was my best friend. i didn't know they knew each other? but okay so i thought Chase actually loved me and cared but he didn't. He used me and yes there were times when he slapped me but i never had the guts to walk away from him. until one day i decided to suprise him at his house i saw him fucking some slut, even tho he did the most horrible things to me i was heartbroken and since then i have trust issues. So since i broke up with Chase, Justin was the only one left for me who knew what was going on with me but i never told what the boy's name was and i didn't tell Justin he used to hit me cause i knew Justin would freak out and blame himself. But then like 3 months later Justin got this girlfriend her name was, Nicole. Since then he always hung out with her and 'the group' he'd never told me their names and that's kinda how we loosed contact i was done with being left and alone. Luckily i found my best friend, Sam is my all time best friends she's been here for me since we met, i love her endlessly and yes she's the only one who knows exactly what Chase has done to me. I never ever told anybody about my situation at home, my parents devorced back in 2009 and since then i only saw my mom crying and arguing with my dad, i do see him but not that much. i just miss my normal life it's all gone, but lucky enough i have my 4 year older brother who has been by my side since so that helpes a bit.

I saw Justin talking to the doctor outside my room and Sam sat there too, when the doctor left they talked until Justin noticed i woke up. ''Marissa!'' he said and they both walked in, Sam now was on my left and Justin on my right. ''can i go home?'' was the first thing i asked and Sam answered. ''yes you can, but we have to wait for the doctor to give us some medication for your cheek.'' when she was done talking i nodded and looked over to Justin, i really wanted to ask him alot cause i had to know how he knew Chase. but i decided to do that later and just go home. then i saw the doctor walking in. ''hi miss Brooks here are the medication'' he said while handing Justin a little bag.

''you have to take two of them a day, and the pain will be gone in a month maybe a little longer'' he finished and i nodded, so did Justin and Sam in agreement. ''thanks doc'' i said and i was about to get up but Justin helped me cause my whole body still was a bit sore. the three of us slowly walked out the hospital and got in the car. Justin drove, i sat in the passenger seat and Sam was in the back. we decided to bring her home ''okay so be careful Maris i'll text you'' she said and i nodded and smiled a bit. since talking hurted. ''i love you! Bye justin'' she said and walked to her front door. ''i love you too'' i said and we drove off. Justin put his hand on my leg and held the wheel with his other hand ''glad that your okay'' he said smiling while his eyes were on the road. And then i decided to ask him, and tell him what happened between me and Chase.

''Justin?'' i started "yes Maris?'' he asnwered sweetly and i looked at him. ''how do you know Chase?'' i asked nervous cause i really didn't hope the two of them are friends. ''we just hang some times, why?'' he asked and i sighed i think its the best to just tell him.

''well remember the guy i was dating like two years ago?'' i asked him and he quickly looked at me and then back to the road. ''oh yeah, the douche who used you i swear if i ever see him i-'' i cut him off. ''it was Chase'' i said in pain. Then we reached my house and he stopped the car and didn't even bother to park. ''what?!'' he asked and i saw him panicking. ''he used to be my friend!'' he said and i decided to stay quiet not wanting to argue or something.
