You burn our house, we burn yours- the flames are growing stronger.

"Mac!" Jay had yelled, running up to me and Daisy. "You're just going to let her do it?"

"Jay," I had said calmly, "Trust me."

Daisy had smiled and she ran through what was once the barrier. She did not return, but two did and Alexander Kingsley's face seemed to turn a deep shade of purple.

It was Carmen and Leonardo.

This oughta be fun.

"Alexander Kingsley," Leonardo greets him warmly, lifting a hand.

Alexander does not shake his outstretched hand. He just stares. He stares until I see Leo squirm uncomfortably on the spot.

Leo lowers his hand. "Alexander Kingsley," he says again. "I come only to ask you one thing."

Alexander quirks a quizzical eyebrow.

Leo sighs. "I beg you to reconsider the rule of the split lifestlye between supernaturals and normals."

Alexander is silent.

"Please!" Leo cries. "Just answer me!"

"Leo," Carmen says, placing a gentle hand on her husband's arm. She looks at Alexander with pleading doe eyes.

"Why should I?" He asks. "He's a traitor."

"No," I say, fists clenched, "He's not.'

Alexander ignores me. "I know all about your little crime and your little accomplices, Zanna and Elvin. Now tell me, Mr Carter," he says, "How do you think it would look if I disbanded that rule and gave you redemption?"

"Good," Leo spits. "It would make you look good."

"I already look good," Alex says jokingly, mocking Leo now.

"Sir..." Leo pleads. "Please."

Alex sighs. "I'm sorry that we don't see eye to eye, Leonardo, I really am, but you are too dangerous. I must protect my people."

Leo sighs and puts an arm around Carmen, looking at Alex sadly. But then he winks at me and gives me a sly side grin.

Something tells me this isn't over yet.

And that's when the mob comes.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
They are carrying torches, candles and matches when they come storming in.
"You see this, Alexander?!" Leonardo roars. "This is what you get."
"Wh-what's going on?" Alex stutters.
"You set fire to our house, we set fire to yours!" Leo screams.
I smile at his passion and make my way towards him.
"I stand with the normals. I encourage this rebellion," I say.
Rydian makes his way towards me, putting his arm around me, but I bat it away.
"I do too," he says.
I look up at Jay.
"No," he shakes his head. "I won't."
"Jay," I press.
"No!" He screams. "I won't!"
He is gone before I can convince him to stay.
"I won't let you do this," Alexander says to Leonardo.
A group of supernaturals are forming around Alexander now, ready to aid their distressed leader.
"It's already done. You want to save your people? I want to save my son from a world where he feels like he has nobody like him," Leonardo replies.
"Leo," Carmen says, "Be careful," she warns."
"Come and look at London," Leo says to Alexander.
"Why would I need to do that?" Alex snaps.
"You burn our house, we burn yours - the fire has spread," Leo repeats.
While he is saying this, I decide to look at London myself.
London?  What London?
It's been engulfed in flames.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It wasn't long before Alex decided to follow me and saw this. He turns on me instantly. "This is all your fault," he snarls.

"My fault?!" I ask.

"You let that Daisy girl get on with burning the tree. You didn't even-"

"And neither did you!" I scream. "You know, Sir," I say, putting extra venom on the word, "You just let it happen as well. So, Mr. Kingsley, let me ask you this: How do you think it would look if your people found out that while the tree was being burnt, you just stood there, like a fool, glued to the ground? Because that," I say, "That would definitely make you look good."

"I-I-" he falters.

I raise an eyebrow. "Something else, as well. What kind of leader leaves his home unprotected while there's a bunch of people inside it, armed to destroy it?"

I cross my arms with a smirk as Alex turns around to see Xenia becoming what London is now: Ablaze, on fire, charred.

"I'm no leader," Alex says, hanging his head.

I pat him on the shoulder, as if we were old friends. "I'm glad we're on the same page."
