You

You tempt me.
Everyday you sit there, dangling, waiting for me to sneak you out into the open.
I CAN'T KEEP DOING THIS!
I'll hurt them all.
Not again, no... no, please not again.

You taunt me.
Hidden behind a smiling baby picture of a bright-eyed girl, saying 'Nothing to see here.'
They can't see through it?
You hide, snug and warm in that lantern now.
Thats why I stopped wearing you.
You drag me in.
I still wonder what mother thought.
Her daugh... daughter sitting on her bedroom floor, throwing up, and bleeding out.
What horror did she face at that sight?

You calm me.
It's different at least.
It makes me not beg for other pain.
It stops me from jumping infront of a truck, a train, or off a bridge.
It keeps my from letting my bones be broken.
It causes something that keeps me somewhat safe.

You're killing me.
You're forbidden, a forbidden love that is tainted with abuse. A sour taste that never subsides. You're a serial killer. You take every victim the same way. You prey on the weak, and broken. Ones that can't fight for themselves, then you mutilate them. Shining in pure pride as they bleed out before you. Some you cut the nerves in their arms; others you get the joy of cutting at their legs, making them unable to walk without pain; while the rest you tear away their breathing way. You watch them choke on their own blood, and stay their till the police, doctors, family, someone... gets their to find a dead person laying in the mess you made. You're taken away everytime, but... but you always come back.

You're hiding.
You're under the sink, hidden in that lantern I put you in a lone while back. You're preying on a victim that has gotten away many times before.
Will this time be to different?
