Chapter 9: PTSD

~~~Justin~~~

I woke up to something crushing me. I opened my eyes to see Jules looking at me with tears in her eyes and Star looking at me.

"Star...I could us some help" I struggled to say.

"Na...I'm good" she said.

"Star Brook Evans! Get your girlfriend off of me before I start calling you Brook again" I said.

She gasped, "You wouldn't dare" she mocked hurt.

I started laughing at the memories, Star hated her first name in high school and made everyone call her Brook. My first high school friend besides Jules. I smiled and looked at her.

"Brook!!!! Brook! Brook get her off" I whined.

Jules started to laugh and Star shook her head.

"Why do we like these two again?" she said to Juan.

"Beats me" he said back.

"Yeah I will beat your ass Juan if you say that again" I joked.

"You can't hurt be babe" he said with a smile.

"You wont be saying that when we get home and I go into your stomach as you sleep" I said with an evil smirk.

"I...lo..love you babe" he shuddered.

"Damn right you love me honey...You can't live without this sweet ass" I said winking.

We all bursted out laughing as Juan just looked at me wide eyed. 

"I surrender...for now" he said looking at me.

We were silent for a minute until Jules spoke up, "I was so worried about you Justin" she said looking at me.

I just hugged her tightly until I started to hurt and let go falling on my back. Star looked at me and patted my head, "I don't want to hurt more than Jules just has" she said.

"After all of this we need to hangout for a weekend" I said looking at her.

"That sounds like a fun idea" Juan said.

"Alright lets do it" Jules said.

I noticed something odd tho...after Jules said that she and Star looked at Juan before he nodded with a grin.

"Don't hide shit from a psychologist" I said with a little irritation in my voice. 

"Sorry babe you will find out eventually" Juan said.

"You are lucky I'm bed ridden you giant meanie" I said sticking my tongue out. 

"Good job using big boy words" Star said rolling her eyes. 

Just than my family and Juan's family bursted in the room. They came to me with smiles and mom was wiping tears from her eyes.

"My baby!" she cried before jumping off of dad onto the bed and hugged me. 

"Mommy" I said crying into her shoulder.

I looked up at dad and he has a few rouge tears coming down his face. Mom let go and Mrs. Prince hugged me. Than dad and finally Mr. Prince hugged me. I asked to be left alone with my mom and dad. Everyone left and I broke down, I kept up a strong wall for the others but, I can't right now.

I cried myself to sleep under my dad's hand which gave me great comfort.

~~~Juan~~~

Justin's parent walked out of the room.

"He's not letting anyone see his emotions again" his mother said sadly.

I know it is his defense mechanism but, it hurts that he won't let me in. Justin always pushes everyone out when he get emotional. Visiting hours finished and I was allowed to stay the night. I gently picked Justin up and set him on my chest as I laid in his bed.

"Juan?" he asked softly when I stopped moving.

"Yes sweetie?" I replied gently. 

"I'm so scared" he said before crying.

I held him, "Don't fake your emotions to me again" I said rubbing his chest with my pinky. 

"I'm not going to be OK" he said making my heart break.

"Every time I sleep...he is..." he said before sobbing uncontrollably. 

"You are going to have PTSD for a long time and I'll be her for you until..." I stopped.

"Until...until what?" he said looking at me.

"You know what tomorrow You'll see. I rather show you than tell you my love" I said before covering Justin's body with my hand.

"Fine" he said hugging my hand until we both fell asleep.

+++The next morning+++

I got up putting Justin down slowly and gently on the bed before leaving and asking when Justin can leave. They said he could leave at lunch time if he wants to. I called everyone and told them my plan. They all agreed...today is the day. I thought smiling as I got back into the room. Justin was still sleeping and I put him back on my chest with a smile on my face as I watched my baby sleep.

About an hour later Justin started to shake in his sleep and crying. I moved him over my heart and said, "I will forever and always protect you, until death do us part." That did the trick and he started to relax on me. I smiled, even when he is sleeping I can calm him.

Years ago he was scared that he was not enough for me and now I feel like I'm not enough for him. He has given me so much, if it wasn't for Justin I would still be that boy who kept everyone away from him. I would still be the boy that never felt loved from someone besides their family. I would be all alone in this cruel world.

When I say Justin has given me something to live for I mean it. Before I was just waiting for my time to run out. I'm so scared he will say no and I would have to go back to that "Existence."

I was shaken from the thought when he woke up.

"You sleep well baby?" I said smiling down at him.

"For the most part, I dream't that you  left me for someone else because I wasn't good enough" he said looking down.

I started laughing, "I was just thinking that I wasn't good enough for you" I said with a tear rolling down my face.

"I would never leave you even if you die" he said crying.

"And I would never leave you even if you die too" I said wiping tears from my face.

"Look at us the two insecure idiots scared that the other would leave" he said chuckling.

I chuckled nodding and kissed him. The doctor came into the room with his discharge papers.

"Before I hand these over, Justin if you feel and discomfort please come back immediately" she said before giving them to Justin to sigh.

He sighed it and the doctor left.

"Justin do you mind if we have that date today after you shower and put on some comfortable cloths?" I asked.

"I thought you would never ask and will you please tell me what you are hiding during it?" he asked.

"I was planning on doing that you little silly man" I said poking the top of his head.

"I'm not little you giant man!" he said shaking his fist in the air before laughing which I joined in on.
