chapter nine.

MISBELIEF| chapter nine.
I rush to the diner making sure I don't get hit by any cars. I walk in and spot Lexi sitting next to her friend Tristan with a milkshake in her hand. I walk up to her and pull her into the bathroom not caring that her friend is looking at me crazy. "What the fuck?" I keep pulling her until we reach a stall. I lock us in a stall and stand with my arms crossed. She's looking wide-eyed at me. "What the fuck is wrong with you Ariana? You really need some fucking help. Now move so I can enjoy my date."

"You're not going anywhere until you explain to me this!" I show her the picture and she gulps loudly. Her face becomes a pale white. Lexi looks up at me and her face goes back to its normal color.

"I don't know who that is," Lexi lies. I smirk and chuckle.

"Oh really? So you're just staring at this person like you're in love with him for no reason!" Anger is boiling through me. Why the fuck is she still lying to me? She tries to push pass me, but I'm too quick. "This is how this is going to go down. You're not leaving this stall until you tell me every single detail. And if you don't cooperate I will tell everyone that Selena was the one who cheated on Justin." Her face goes blank and I smirk. "Yeah, I know it all girl. I have the whole story and I won't be afraid to tell everyone."

"You wouldn't."

"Wanna bet? You see, I thought we were friends Lexi. I thought you cared about me. Now, I know you didn't care one bit about me. Because this," I hold the picture up, "proves you're not honest with me at all. I tell you everything! Every fucking thing!" A knock is heard and a small voice interrupts me.

"Lexi? You okay?" Lexi tries to say something but I cover her mouth quickly.

"Tell him you're fine. Now." She nods and I take my hand away from her mouth.

"I-I'm fine Tristan! I'll be out in a bit." I nod.

"Okay." I hear his footsteps leave and I continue.

"Why are you in this picture with Jason motherfucking McCann." She leans against the wall signaling we are going to be here awhile.

"Jason and my sister were a thing. Justin was like the third wheel. They always hung out together. Jason started doing bad shit and Selena always told me about how she hated him for that. She told me about her and Justin, too. I had to tell Jason. When I told him he was so heartbroken, Ariana. He cried in my arms. I told him that they can't know I told him. So he kept it a secret. He presented himself to Selena like he never even knew what was going on between her and Justin. When Selena would leave to hang with Justin, Jason always came in my room to distract himself from killing Justin. Soon we became really close and he would show up in my room to just watch TV with me. He cared about me a lot." A year falls down Lexi's face. "One night Jason came in my room furious. Selena and him got into a huge fight. When she fell asleep he snuck into my room and he kissed me. I was stupid, of course. I kissed him back. He was so attractive and I knew the real him." My mouth is probably the size of the sun right now. I am stunned, but she wasn't finished. "We ended up having sex, but it wasn't any ordinary sex. It was the sex you have when you feel someone on a spiritual level. He was so good at it too. After that night happened we always snuck around with each other. That was until I heard about him in the building. I was furious. I almost wanted to kill Justin, but I couldn't do that to Selena." She sighs, tears running down her face. I hug her quickly trying to comfort her. She may have lied to me for so long, but she's still my friend. "I never told you because I knew you would look at me different."

"I would never look at you different Lexi. I'm a fuck up already. You can't get anymore fucked up than me," I say. I hug her tightly. I don't want to let go. I feel so bad for earlier. How I treated her.
