May 21, 1975, Just got our History tests back. I got 84%, Marcel got 87%, Ann got 77% and Conner got 92%. One thing that my mum does with me and tests is that every time I score 70 or higher on important tests (math, science, world geo or history), I get $5 if I get 70%. Every % higher is an extra 50 cents, so 100% would equal to $20. When school was out, we decided to go to the Blazing Burgers, the new restaurant that opened up. When we got their, we saw that Mr. Tuff and Topher, Troy's brother were there. We said hi to Mr. Tuff and went over in our own booth, wondering why Topher's here. "Wasn't he supposed to be in France with his fiancée?" Marcel whispered. When he said that Topher made a quick look at us and than looked back at his menu. He obviously heard us if he did that, but why make it so obvious? The waitress finally arrived and asked for our orders. One thing I noticed about the place is that the waitresses are on roller skates and they have their hair all poofy like the typical 70's rock band hair. My order was a "Wombo-Combo", which was basically a large burger with fries and a Sundae. Marcel and Ann had "The Finger Dinner Deal", chicken fingers with fries and a tall glass of soda. Conner only had water, as he was on a diet, jeez, they had special names for our orders, why not his? "The Cold One... Non-Alcoholic", good enough I suppose. While waiting, we noticed that Topher was now giving us a blank faced stare that I can still picture to this day. We just pretended that we didn't know and had a fake conversation. We eventually got our orders, they were delicious. We'd probably come back here again, as long as Topher didn't give us a death stare, it would all be good. That burger was one of the best burgers I had ever had in my life. When we were all done, we were stuffed. It was worth the wait, that included the awkwardness with Topher. When we went to the register, a scream cane from the back room. The four of us and the register lady ran back to see a dead body lay on the floor. The lady fainted while we all stood there in shock, we made out the body to be the lady who served us earlier, only she looked different. We than saw the empty eye sockets. I ran for the garbage can, I couldn't take it. Luckily, my hair was held up by Conner, I'm surprised I was the only one who couldn't bare the sight. When we exited the kitchen, Topher was gone. We had suspected he was responsible, just from the weirdness that occurred while he was there. "Does Topher usually do these types of things?" Is probably what someone is thinking. I don't know who, but someone. The answer to that would be yes. He's known for doing criminal Like activities. He has his little gang and he does really hard drugs (heroine and cocaine just to name a few). Though through ALL of this, he has never been in trouble with the law. Even when somebody does call about if Topher is doing something, the cops could literally give two less shits about it."Officer, there's this big group of men potentially robbing off of people on the streets." "Okay mam, we'll get on the case ASAP." Literally after they hang up, they'll probably go to a Dunkin' Donuts before they make their way down to the actual problem. By the time they make it (say about an hour AFTER the call), they'll do they're usual root of just checking the area once and going to the callers doorstep saying "We're sorry mam, but we couldn't find the culprit in time, if you have any other troubles, let us know. Have a nice evening mam." They probably spent most of their time in the donut shop than they did at the actual case. WHO HIRED THESE PEOPLE? Well when we left the building, his Impala was gone as well. We all went straight home after that and decided to "hit the hay" as my cringey parents would usually say.
