Jessica sat in her chair at her desk facing the cage that Kilgrave was in. She had tricked him and injected him with Sufentanil. He was laying on the metal bed frame passed out. Jessica thought that seeing him there would make her feel better, she assumed that all of her pain and grief would go away. But it didn't. She felt a stabbing pain of fear in her. She was angrier at him than she had ever been before.

Her thoughts were interrupted by Kilgrave waking up. He groggily sat up and when he tried to stand up his feet hit the water on the floor. He looked up confused and called for Jessica.

Jessica could no longer control her anger anymore. She turned on the projector and played the video of him as a kid in the laboratory. she wanted him to feel the pain that she felt every time she looked at him.

Hours later

Trish and Jessica were looking at the videos trying to find some way of tracking down Kilgrave's parents. Trish gave Jessica the idea of using his parents as a way of getting a confession from him so they can prove that Hope is innocent. Jessica's eyes felt heavy as she took another drink from the half empty bottle. However, Trish was still going through the videos. she stared at the screen intensely, then in a split second looked up and declared that she found had something.

"Jess look at this."

"What?" Jess said sleepily

Trish turned the laptop screen to face Jessica and pointed at the screen.

"Look there are more videos."

"So?"

"We haven't seen these and they're encrypted or something."

Jessica pulled the computer closer and tried to open the file but it was locked.

"Okay, so how do we open it?" Asked Jessica intrigued and hopeful.

"I'll call Simpson and see if he can."

Trish pulled out her phone and texted him.

A few minutes later Simpson arrived. Trish showed him the file and asked if he knew how to open it.

"Me? No. I have no idea, but I have a friend who might."

"Who's the friend?" Asked Jessica while slightly tilting her head.

"His name is Richard and he is one of the best computer hackers I have ever seen."

Jessica grabbed the USB and her coat.

"Let's go then."

"Right now?"

"Why not? you have something better to do?" she said mockingly.

Simpson sighed and pulled out his car keys

They went to Richard's place. It was an old beat up trailer in the middle of nowhere.

Simpson knocked on the door and Trish waited in the car. The old man pulled open the screen door. as it creaked opened, Jessica's eyes started to water from the stench. He was short and balding. He had a long gray beard with crumbs in it. He wore an old stained shirt that appeared to once be white. And he was wearing his boxers which had hearts on them.

"We need your help with something." Simpson started.

"With what?" He answered gruffly.

"We need you to open a file for us."

"Alrighty then. Anything for you pal." he turned to face Jess. "he and I go way back."

He sat on his porch with his laptop, he quickly plugged in the USB and immediately started. Jessica thought it was odd how easily he open it but she didn't question it. It only took him a few minutes and afterward he told them to leave him alone and to bother someone else next time.

Jessica turned to Simpson. "charming." she snarked.

"hey he got the job done didn't he?"

"Whatever." Jess relied while getting into the passengers seat of his truck.

They got back to where they were holding Kilgrave, who was sitting in the cage just as they left him.

Jessica made sure the mic was off before she started the video.

Trish stopped her before she could hit play.

"You don't have to see this."

"No, I want to." She insisted.

She opened the file and saw three videos. The first two she saw had the earliest date stamp on it and the third and the latest.

The first video was titled "obtaining subject K."

"What do you think that means?" Asked Simpson while straightening his posture.

"I don't know" answered Trish. "What do you think Jess?"

"No clue."

Jessica looked up and saw Kilgrave starring at her. Almost like he was trying to figure out what they were saying.

Jessica looked back down at the screen and clicked play while trying to ignore him. The camera appeared to be attached to a helmet. The camera showed five people wearing all black and wore masks. They were in a van and it looked to be at night. They jumped out of the van and started to run towards a house. the house was a small family sized house. it was white and had kid toys on the front lawn. one masked people broke down the door. Out of nowhere a man wearing a blue robe and slippers came down the stairs and started to scream at them to leave. One of the masked men hit him over the head and they proceeded up the stairs. In front of them was a woman in her pajamas reaching for the phone. Probably trying to call the police, but before she could they hit her over the head and knocked her out. The masked men ran into a bedroom appearing to belong to a child. In the room, there was a kid, who looked to be about five years old possibly younger. They grabbed him and covered his mouth with a cloth before he could scream. After a few seconds the kid stopped struggling and passed out. The video ended with them taking the kid in the van and driving away.

Trish gave Jessica a confused glance then looked over to Simpson who looked equally confused.

"What the hell was that?" Asked Trish.

"Shouldn't the video be in a lab like the others." Asked Simpson.

"Maybe that's how he got to the lab in the first place." Suggested Trish while running her fingers through her blond hair.

"He said that his parents were the scientists, that they brought him there. but in this video, his parents were knocked out. Something's wrong here."

"Maybe we should watch the other videos to see if they have the answers we're looking for." Said Trish.

The next video was called "the introduction".

Trish glanced at Jess with a worried expression.

"Jess you don't have to watch this."

Jessica was annoyed by everyone constantly working about her. Whenever she would hear someone asking if she was alright, all she thought about was "don't they have their own shitty lives to get back to?" however she tried to be nice to Trish. She was pretty much the only friend she had.

"No, I'm fine. I need to see this."

Saying that she looked over, passed the screen she saw Kilgrave pacing back and forth while keeping his gaze lock on her. he still was starring at her, silently mocking her. making fun of the fact that he knows something that she doesn't.

With the stabbing pain in her chest returning she slammed the laptop shut and declared that she would watch it later. With one glance over her shoulder as she was leaving, she saw Kilgrave smirking knowing that he got to her.

while she was leaving, the pain in Jessica's chest sharpened and her rage turned into a massive head ache. all she do to stop the pain was image the day when she finally gets to him. the day that he will feel the pain that she does. with that thought, the pain started to numb.
