"I know Stella is my daughter, Jane. You can't keep her hidden from the truth." Sirius Black said and jane glared.
"Da da." Little Stella giggled and caught Sirius' attention.
"It alright, sweetheart, daddy is here." He said and placed his large hand next to her.
Little Stella pressed her face into his hand and when Sirius was pulled away by Jane Granger she began to cry.
"You're not fit to raise a wizarding child, Jane, you'll only hurt her." He snapped as he pulled back to Stella and gently picked her up.
Stella's soft black hair shifted in color and Sirius sighed.
"She won't be able to go to a muggle school. Not like hermione, she'll be treated as a freak. It would be better to raise her in the wizarding world."
"NO!" Jane snapped and glared, Stella cried harder in Sirius' arms.
Sirius rocked her gently and she calmed down.
"Patrick already knows she's not his child, he won't care for her, he'll neglect her and so will you."
"Shut up, Sirius!" Jane spat. "You will not take Stella, she stays here."
"If she does she'll be in even more danger when she goes into the wizarding world."
"I won't let her go there, I refuse to."
"Then she'll hate you forever, and there's nothing you can do about it." Sirius said as Jane pulled Stella out of his arms.
"Just leave Sirius, you're not wanted here."
"She wants me here." Sirius said and nodded to Stella who was crying for her daddy.
"That doesn't matter." Jane snapped.
"So she doesn't matter to you?" He asked.
"Of course she does."
"Don't lie to yourself, Jane. She'll find me one day and she'll free me, we'll be together and I'll take care of her like I should have when I came to the hospital you were at." Sirius said. "I should have taken Stella away from you, so she wouldn't have to live with someone like you. She'll know I didn't kill James and Lily, she'll know that I loved her far more than you ever would. Stella is my daughter, she is a Black and the Black family sees when they're being deceived, she'll know that you'll look at her differently, that you'll treat Hermione like she's your daughter and you'll treat Stella like something disgusting you found on your doorway."
"No she won't. She'll believe everything others tell her." Jane said. "She'll be a normal child if I have anything to say about it."
"Just watch, Jane. Stella will find my cousin Narcissa and there won't be anything you can do. Stella won't be a mutt under your fingertips. She'll fight back tenfold, and she'll win." Sirius said and disappeared with a crack.
Neither of them knew Stella would remember this day even when she turned eleven. This little girl, Stella Granger-Black. The daughter of Jane Annabeth Granger and Sirius Orion Black. No one knew she would indeed find her father and hate her mother from the day she learned the complete truth, the day she got her Hogwarts letter.
