Scenario game 1: End of the World

This is the year 22XX, and the world is crumbling. In the 20th century, scientists had tried to warn the world about global warming and the possible destruction of Earth. However, the human race was too greedy and selfish to change; they simply laughed it off as baseless rumors.  As man’s every increasing need for energy increased, burning of fossil fuels increased exponentially, deforestation continued rapidly and industrialization continued at a monstrous pace. However, the environment could only hold on for so long.

Before long, global temperatures began to rise quicker than ever. Polar ice caps malted away like… well… ice, and sea levels rose significantly, submerging most low-lying countries and wiping Australia off the world map. Scientists could no longer keep track of satellites as they were frantically trying to reverse the effects of global warming. Undersea cables were destroyed in the many tsunamis and floods. Methods of communication between countries were effectively lost.

One of the few remaining surviving communities is in North America, but the population is dwindling quickly. The country can no longer export nor import and is barely making ends meet. At the worst possible time, the country’s nuclear plant, its only source of energy, has broken down, allowing for radioactive materials to escape. It seems like the end of the human race, or is it?

Not yet!

Mankind still has one final trump card up his sleeve, one last trick to play before calling it quits. You are the leader of this community and you have gathered a small group of potential survivals to carry on living. The government has built a self-sustaining safe house underground with enough food and water for six people for two years. Two years is the amount of time estimated for the area to be safe again. BUT, there is one final question, the million dollar question: Who gets to live?

The people gathered outside are all unique with a special set of skills and talents. However, there are 12 people and only 6 slots available, 6 would have to die. It’s your choice - will you be able to make the right decision?

Self sustaining nuclear safe house: Contains enough water and (ready to eat) food that would last for two years but it is only enough for six people, maximum. Any more people, and there is a good chance that all will die, so risking it is out of question. It has clean sanitation, little bacteria and viruses, a first-aid kit, basic medication for common illnesses, ample of pen & paper, 6 computers with no internet connection (Satellite communication is down) but with more than enough memory, and individual bedrooms (6) for everyone.
