Knights of Grace

Chapter 2

Annalise still had a blush covering her cheeks. Her friends, not including Baron, knew her attraction to him. 

Baron was the first person to be her friend when her parents passed away. He had joined the knights about a month after she did. Since then, she and him have been together. They trained together whenever they had free time. Back in the beginning of the year as squires, the commander's order was to separate the males and females until they learn the rules in the training camp but that was almost a year ago. She rose in the ranks during the middle of the year, although Baron was already a Knight of Grace by that time. He was offered to be a general of a group of knights but Baron being Baron, he didn't want to because as he said, "I can't let my innocent girls be harassed by other men. It's only a job for me and me alone." He also told Anna that he wasn't going to leave her behind knowing she was still bashful around the others. 

Baron begun to laugh as Anna soon realized how badly she must look flustered by his words. Anna glared at him, the blush disappearing from her face.  She walked towards him and punches his shoulder. 

"Shut up Baron, get dressed. Ill be waiting in the living room so hurry your lazy ass up." Anna stalked out of the bedroom into the living room. 

She sat down on the tan couch which has a dark brown wooden carved coffee table that is knee-high. The chandelier above her head shone brightly as she took in the style of the boys living area. The couch was the kind she and Koko has but their's is white unlike the tan couch the boys have. They had the same kind of chandelier the hung above their heads and the beautiful carvings over the tables. There was swirls that was carved into the wood, even some carvings look like a sword and a shield. There was also a cinnamon brown colored rug that is underneath the couch and the coffee table.

After about 5 minutes, Baron walks out of his room with a pair of trousers and a jacket on with his hands in his pockets. "Lets go, Anna. Don't want the red head to eat all the food." 

He followed Anna to the door and opened it for her. She walked out with Baron closing the door behind them as they walked towards the dining hall in total silence. Anna was walking a head of Baron, she looked back at him and saw him grin at her which caused her to blush. She turned her head away from him and walks into the dining room. Baron caught up with Anna and wrapped his arm around her neck, grinning down at her. 

"What's the matter, Princess? Didn't like my joke?" Baron questioned. 

He watch Anna while keeping his arm around her shoulders. Anna stayed silent the entire walk back to the dining hall. Once they got there, people were starting to leave. "You know we could be leaving at this time but you know.. you had to take your time." Anna glared up at him. 

Baron laughed and held his hands up. "Sorry, Princess, didn't know how hungry you were. Next time i'll be here smelling like sweat." 

Anna shook her head and walked away from him towards their table. He followed her but once she sat down he went over to Riven. Riven had ate two servings  of mashed potatoes and three bowls of beef stew. Riven got smacked in the back of the head by Keiko since he was trying to eat everything (like usual).

Grabbing herself a bowl of stew, she saw the headmaster still sitting at the front table doing paper work. 

"Aye, Koko, why is Headmaster still here? I thought he'd be asleep already." Baron whispered. Koko shrugged and continued to eat her food. 

After everyone ate all the food they got up and walked towards the common room that splits the girls and boys. The common room was a very large place, the floor was a dark smooth wooden floor. The walls were a silver color along with a few grey lights that hung around the room. A fireplace was across from the doorway. To the right was the door that leads towards the girls dormitory and to the left is the door that leads to the boys dormitory. Both of the doors are a light chestnut color with a bronze handle. In the middle of the room was a long glass table which has two couches on each of it's sides. Both of the couches look alike, they are able to have up to 4 people each. It is a brown colored couch with two pillows by the arms of the chairs. The pillows are silver with a white snake stitched on its' surface. 

Anna laid back on the couch the moment she sat down. Koko and Riven sat next to her bickering about who is stronger than the other. "Shut up, both of you. You're acting like kids fighting over a toy." Anna yelled at them. 

Keynon and Baron sat across form them and laughed at the two being yelled at. Annalise reached over and grabbed a pillow and threatened Keynon and Baron by holding it up. Which caused them to laugh some more and Anna threw it at one of them. It smacked Keynon in the face. "Hey!! What was that for?!" 

Anna shrugged and stuck her tongue at him. Keynon gripped onto the pillow and threw it at her. She giggled and ducked from being hit so instead it hit the side of Koko's head. Koko looked up at Keynon and threw both of the pillows at him, which Keynon avoided then had hit Baron. Once a pillow hit his face a pillow fight broke out. They were all laughing and using each other for cover so they wouldn't get hit with pillows.

An older looking man soon came out of the boys dormitory. "Will you little kids shut your trap?! You may not have to go to sleep but we older ones have to get up early to teach your lazy asses." He gave them a glare especially Baron who was standing up and saluting along with the other four.

Both of the girls nodded "Yes commander Yung." The boys said.

CDR. Yung is a man who was in his late 30's or early 40's. He had slick black hair turning grey. His eyes are a deep brown filled with experience on the battlefield. He wears silver armor with a golden sword on his hip. He also had a scar above his eye that goes down to the side of his face.

Letting out a grunt, commander Yung left the group of teens in silence. Once the door shut, Riv falls back on the couch with Keynon and Keiko on either side. Anna sat next to Baron on the opposite couch of the other three. Baron had his head leaned back and his eyes were shut.

"Quit gawking Anna. If you want a kiss just say it." Baron whispers so the three can't hear.

"Barry who the hell said anything about wanting a kiss?" Anna made a face at him.

"Who the fuck is Barry?"

Anna smiled innocently, "Who do you think Barry~?" She all but slurred.
