Chapter 3: Investigation

(Y/N) POV

Me: HAA!!!

I screamed out as I shot a ki blast out of my hand. I was surrounded by a horde of grimm that were about to destroy my home. I wasn't about to let them do that. Then, suddenly, a beowolf charged at me, baring its claws for an attack.

Me: You don't seem to give up do you?

It was about to hit me, but before its claws could strike, I blocked the attack and punched it in the gut.

Me: I'll have to teach you how.

I then jumped up and kicked him in the head decapitating him. When I did so, all of the other grimm started to charge at me.

Me: 'Guess I'll have to end this quickly.'

I brought my hands together and put them behind me, chanting the move that would destroy them.

Me: KA...ME...HA...ME...

The energy built up in my hands as I shot them forward.

Me: HAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The energy I gathered exploded out of my hands towards all of the grimm, disintegrating every last one. My hands drooped in front of me and I was panting like crazy.

Me: Guess I overdid it a little...hehe.

I reached into one of my pockets, grabbed a senzu bean, and ate it. With my power restored, I walked over to my house and walked in.

It was a decent house; single floor, a living room, 1 bed and 1 bath. It was pretty spacious for the size. There was even a small room for training. The entire house was only about half the size of a high school cafeteria. It may have been a bit small, but it was enough for me.

I went into the kitchen, grabbed some protein powder and some milk, and mixed them together to make a shake. After a workout like that, I needed this. I sat down on my couch and turned on the tv, aimlessly browsing the channels to see what was on. Eventually, I ended up tuning to King Kong.

Me: This should be good

I finished my shake and laid back. Relaxation was exactly what I needed. As the movie played, I eventually was brought down by the need for sleep.

I stirred a bit before sitting up slowly. Man was a nap the greatest thing ever. I opened my eyes and noticed that the credits were playing for the movie. I looked at the time and my eyes bulged open.

Me: I SLEPT FOR SEVEN HOURS? MORE IMPORTANTLY, THAT MOVIE WAS SEVEN HOURS LONG?!

I feel asleep around 2:30PM, and now it was 9:30PM. How long did Peter Jackson make this movie?!

(Quick A/N: Yes I know the movie wasn't actually that long)

Regardless, I sat up and and stretched. Since I took such a long nap, it wasn't like I was falling asleep any time soon. I stood up and walked over to my training room. But before I could walk in, I sensed an energy signature outside my house. I decided to walk out and see what it is.

Me: Hello?

I called out, not getting any answer. Not that I expected to. I noticed then that it wasn't just a single energy signature. All around my yard, I could feel, on average, about nine energy readings.

Me: Alright! *I get into my battle stance* I know you're out here. Come on out if you don't want to get totally destroyed.

Hours Before

Yang's POV

We had been traveling the forest for about an hour until we came across a house in the middle of the forest.

Glynda: This must be (Y/N)'s home.

Pyrrah: Ozpin did mention that he lived in the emerald forest.

We set up camp about a mile away from the house to avoid getting found, and remained there until nightfall. Eventually, dusk hit.

Glynda: Alright children, here's our plan.

We all look at her to hear her plan.

Glynda: We'll surround the house and in the morning, I will confront him. But you must keep your guard up. You may never know if or when he'll find out we're out there.

Jaune: And if he attacks, we ambush?

Glynda nods at Jaune's observation.

Me: Well let's not waste any more time!

Timeskip presented by chibi Ruby sneakily stealing cookies.

We had all surrounded the house like Glynda instructed...an hour ago. My adrenaline's pumping and I want some action. Just then, I heard a door creak open. It was...what was his name...(Y/N) right?

(Y/N): Hello?

I watched him just stand there, practically glowing in the moonlight. He was a lot more attractive in person than as a picture. The moonlight shined off his bulky muscles, and his black eyes shined like the sun in the middle of a desert.

My thoughts were interrupted by him moving into some sort of stance.

(Y/N): Alright. I know you're out here. Come on out if you don't want to get totally destroyed.

His voice sounded deep and masculine. Well...that was my initial thought until I processed what he had said. HE WAS GONNA DESTROY US?!
