It was a cold Monday morning. There was snow outside falling nonstop. There was no school, and there had been no school the previous week. Penny was on her phone, just like almost every other snow day. Little did Penny know this day was not an ordinary snow day. If only she knew.
She was watching Rhett and Link on her phone, and then she got a text from her friend Lacey.
Lacey- Hey Penney, watcha doing?
Penney- Nothing really, you?
Lacey- Nothing . Hey can I come over?
Penney- Yeah sure, I don't see why not.
Lacey- Oh, wait sorry. I cant come over now, I've got to.... you know do shopping.
Penney- Ok cool, its okay. Hey can I go shopping with you?
Lacey- Ummmm sorry no cant. Sorry. Ive got to go....Bye Penney.
Penney- Ok, its ok bye.
And the texting stopped. The rest of the day went on pretty normally. The unexplained awkwardness didn't really alarm Penney. Neither did the unexplained shopping. So penny just didn't even really think much of it. If only she knew.
