Chapter 3
“…Hey… Hey…! Hey! HEY!” Evannia’s eyes opened and closed, as the loud annoying voice woke her up. “Vani! Wake up!”
“W-what…?” Evannia asked while sitting up, rubbing her eyes and looking into blue orbs, “E-Eliot? W-what are you doing here?”
“To wake you up. Why?” Eliot answered, as Evannia jumped out of bed.
“Well, get out. I need to get changed,” Evannia said, as she pushed the boy out of her room.
“Okay! I’ll wait outside, Vani!” Eliot waved, as he smiled childishly. After fifteen minutes, the door opened to reveal Evannia wearing a small black knee-high dress with a ribbon wrapped around the middle.
“Finally!” Eliot sighed happily, as Evannia rolled her golden eyes as the two started to look around the orphanage properly.
“So how was the test Eliot?” Evannia asked.
“Huh?” Eliot asked confused.
“The test Ann-Mae gave you,” Evannia answered, as she stared at him thinking.
“Test…Test…Oh! That test!” Eliot remembered as he smiled cheerfully. “It was easy!”
“Did you do the test yesterday?” Evannia asked the two continued walking.
“Yep!” Eliot cheerfully smiled.
“You are a very forgetful person,” Evannia stated, as she looked at Eliot at the corner of her eyes.
“I know…It sucks,” Eliot agreed as the two suddenly bumped into two familiar faces.
“Hello there, Evannia!” Winona cheerfully greeted.
“Good morning!” Wendy said as her eyes sparkled with joy.
“…Who’re you?” Eliot asked bluntly, as he pouted.
“I do apologise. My name is Wendy and this is my older twin sister, Winona,” Wendy introduced kindly, as Winona nodded cheerfully.
“Oh…Well, I’m Eliot!” Eliot introduced, as he stuck out his left hand. Winona took his hand and shook it violently while Wendy shook it politely.
“It was very nice meeting you, Eliot,” Wendy said, as Winona winked at Evannia who just blinked in confusion.“Well, we should be off Winona.”
“Yep! See you, guys!” Winona waved, as the two walked away from them. As the two walked away, Evannia couldn’t help but think that pain and surprise flashed through Winona’s and Wendy’s eyes.
“…Those two are really weird,” Eliot whispered to Evannia as she sighed.
“Evannia? Eliot?” said a voice. The two turned there heads towards the voice to see Ann-Mae.
“Good morning, Ann-Mae!” Eliot greeted, as the silver haired women raised a brow.
“Good morning,” Evannia greeted, void of any emotion.
“Good morning,” Ann-Mae said. “Eliot, may you please follow me. I need for you to complete a task.”
“Okaaaaays!” Eliot said, as he waved at Evannia. “I’ll see you soon, okay?”
“Okay,” Evannia said, as Eliot smiled and followed Ann-Mae to wherever they were going.
Evannia stayed in the same spot as she watched the two walk away. After a few moments of staying in the same spot, Evannia headed towards the west wing corridors.
