Lightsworn

Chapter 1: Rank Royale

In a dark and silent room, a video showed up making the room less seem quiet and most likely inhabited. The video played an abandoned city on fire with bodies lying on the floor and blood splattered everywhere and as the video played on, a figure appeared and stared at the video like it was live. The figure watched the video with a bit of enthusiasm and as minutes go by the figure finally spoke with a calm but powerful voice "Core Texture!", suddenly a flash of light shone and covered the entire room. Then as the flash of light was gone, the figure disappeared.

Meanwhile in a field of flowers, there was a girl who was innocently picking up flowers of different kinds then as she was done, she heard a loud noise coming from the sky. To her surprise, it was a helicopter landing near the spot she was. Then as the helicopter landed, a young male appeared at the door of the helicopter. The young male then spoke in a calm and fine manner

"Are you Criszel Monroe?" then the girl answered "Yes I am, May I ask whose asking". The young male then fell into a creepy grin and then replied " I am Brian O'neil, Student President at Lightsworn Academy Main and I am please to announce that you have been accepted and is now ready to escort you there." After hearing the big news, Criszel was filled with excitement because she never expected that she will be accepted at the main campus of Lightsworn Academy. For months, Criszel hoped and dreamnt of being an oracle with her knight-in-shining-armor dream guardian who will protect her from anything or from anyone and now she has the chance to make her dream into a reality.

"Rank 21: Mr. Morille is down!"
A voice shouted, "Sending all medcopters at Sector 7!" Another voice shouted and as all the voices continued, 3 people wearing somewhat clothes from the military were examining a live video of young males fighting against each other. Then as they were examining the video one of the men finally spoke "This year's Rank Royale is much more competetive than the others. Headmaster Carter."

Then a man on a suit suddenly appeared and said " Yes general, as you can see we made sure that this year will be much more enthusiastic than the others."
" Rank 9,8,6 are down!. All were taken down by Rank 2!. Mr.Phoenix." a a voice exclamed then the general spoke
" Impressive!, Mr. Phoenix has already taken down half of our Top 10 2nd year students but Mr. Carter where exactly is our Rank 1: Mr.  Princeton?"

Then a voice yelled " General! Rank 1: Mr. Princeton is now approaching Sector 5!" Then a man suddenly spoke with eagerness " You saved the best for last, Mr. Carter." As he said that Mr. Carter explained " Mr. Princeton is one of our finest student at Lightsworn Academy and is globally ranked no. 24 so even Mr. Phoenix will have a hard time defeating him."

In an abandoned city, a young male was walking down a narrow path making sure no ones behind him. The young male held two daggers from each side of his hands and wore a black leather jacket with designs of the Phantom. As the young male was about to reach end, a series of jabs hit him near his guts but a flash of light the young male was paralyzed and was now bleeding intensely. Then the young male caught a glimpse of his attacker, he had two mechanized arms and wore a white cloak with blood spreading all over it.

A figure suddenly appeared and was crossing a lake of blood and bodies of injured Guardians, tge figure wore a long black leather jacket with a necklace on his neck and held a Scythe. As the figure walked, 3 young males appeared each respectively holding a Javelin, an Axe and a Bow but as the figure saw them he fell into a silent laugh and vanished. The young males were confused on how the figure escaped but before they could ever react, a sulent swing had cut all of their throats in one go. The figure watched then as they take a very good look at their pursuer and slowly continued his path.
