FAUNA'S P.O.V
But what should I say to her? 'Oh hello, I was staring at you from far away and I think you're gorgeous'? Yeah, I doubt that will go down well, especially if she knows that I'm the one getting married... I guess I could just introduce myself, how bad could it go?
I nervously wander over to her, trying not to get into anyone's way whilst they danced. My eyes never leaving her magnificent form, I just couldn't stop looking, it felt like a sin not to. The closer I was to her the faster and louder my heart beat, it feels like it could jump out of my chest. Every step is torture, I feel shaky and unsteady. Just a few more steps. I finally reach her. I think I might have a heart attack. I've ever felt this way about another girl. She's just so perfect. She's even prettier up close.
"H-hi..." I say nervously. This is harder than I thought.
"Oh hey." She greeted. Her voice was raspy and sexy, it gave me chills down my spine.
"I- um, don't think I've seen you around here before..."
"Oh, well you'd be right, I was just introduced to your pack, one of your members have just married my sister, so we just moved in, tradition and all." Internally screams...
"O-oh really? Well, welcome to the pack. My name's, um, Fauna. I'm one of the Great Elder's daughters." Do I sound vain mentioning that? I really hope not.
"I'm Misty, I'm was part of the gatherers' section of my old pack, and would sometimes go hunting with my sister and brother. I'm not sure what I'll be apart of now, but I guess I'll find out soon. I did only arrive today after all." She liked to hunt, maybe we could go hunting sometime.
"If you want I can show you around some more, you probably haven't seen much with the bonfire and everything going on at the moment."
"That would be great, I didn't really get to see much, thanks." She tilted her head to the side and smiled brightly. She was so cute.
"Okay, follow me." I take her hand in mine confidently. She feels so soft and warm, I start to feel a tingly sensation in my hand, going up my arm, making me shiver a little. I lead her over to my sleeping quarters. I open the door and lead her in. I have an idea. "If you want, you can stay in my room for the night. We have a spare bed just over there." I gesture over to a corner of the room. She looks at me and smiles. That sweet, sweet smile.
"Oh, thank you." She's so cute. I walk over towards my bed, pulling the warm woolly covers over me. I almost fall asleep when I'm slightly awoken by the covers moving, and feeling a cold breeze on my back. I don't move. I then feel a warmth caress my back. I don't move. Why did she want to join me in my bed? Does she like me too? Oh my Ancestors, if she does... I might have a heart attack. My heart begins to thump in my chest, can she hear it, wow this is happening. Please don't let this be a dream. I can't take it any longer. I turn head slightly, I can't see much... but I think I can make out her wavy hair and beautiful figure. I turn my body so I'm facing her. I can't take this. I lean in and kiss her lips, she instantly kisses back. Her lips are so soft. If I'm going, to be honest, I expected it to be better. I put everything I had into that kiss. Letting my tongue glide against her lips, she immediately gives me access. I open my eyes. I want to see her.
Let's just say, I didn't see her exactly. Yes, it was dark... but it wasn't her. It was Ash...
