"If you love somebody, let them go, for if they return, they were always yours. If they don't, they never were."
"Journeys end in lovers meeting."
,The buzz of alarm ringing besides her wakes her up and is quickly switched off.
Lying on her bed, she finds today her mind and body refuse to cooperate.
Her exhausted, reluctant body refuses to get up and leave the bed. Her hyperactive mind rejects the urge to succumb to sleep.
It simply doesn't want to relax, as her weary form does, her limbs unwilling to move an inch, the temptation to stay in bed overruling every command of her mind.
So she stays put...
And her mind unable to get calm starts running away with the thoughts plaguing her mind as she wonders and relives the same day once again in her mind.
She had almost stopped hoping, hadn't she?
She had almost stopped expecting and believing. She thinks to herself.
She had nearly given up on any chance of winning over her own daughter, her own flesh and blood.
It had seemed impossible.
Awake in the wee hours of dawn, she can't help but go over the entire day that has passed in a blur, the day that changed everything for her.
Was it just a couple of hours ago, she wonders.Hadn't she cried herself to sleep just the night before.
And yet, yesterday, smiling into the night, she had drifted off into sleep hours ago and was awake now, once again with that smile that refuses to fade.
It had been unshakeable - the hate that had driven a wedge between her daughter and the rest of the family. She had feared Shagun's manipulations had won, finally won and made her lose her child, one who was her own flesh and blood.
She had been fearful for her daughter more than feeling distressed by her defeat.
Scared of what would happen of her child if this Shagun held the reins of her life.
When she had returned, after seven long years and found her child calling another woman mama', it had hurt but it wasn't unexpected, it had been a bitter pill to swallow but she had made her peace with it. She had reasoned that Shagun hadn't just given birth to Pihu but raised her as well all these years, she deserves to be the mother her daughter loves, the only mother she has ever known.
Then it had happened.
The thing she never saw coming; what wasn't in her worst nightmares, come to reality.
Shagun had reverted to her old ways and this time was worse than ever. The woman she had known initially was a nuisance, had tried to make her life a living hell, had done everything possible to make her and Raman miserable. However, she had never pegged Shagun as a threat to her life though she was in her own way dangerous to her marriage and sanity, in that order.
This Shagun however, was worse, the worst possible - one who possessed a black heart and a blacker soul.
She had been surprised by the revelation that Shagun had had her kidnapped, it did shock her to know she wished her dead but it had horrified her to learn she had planned and plotted against her using Adi, her own flesh and blood son, making use of an opportunity where she should have stood with him and not made use of it against her, just to get even with her. Just to get Pihu.
