Complicated!!

Chapter 8

This day was growing boring and all of us were drowsy. I was already numb to the world around me. I barely could hear much and my eyes were almost shutting and suddenly someone shouted pizza. I dont know how that brought some life back into me. "Yes pizza, let's order", I said. And in a hurry all started to tell which pizza they want. Priya and Nitin were in charge, guess they were never tired even after all that blabbering. I hate cheese but when it comes to pizza it's just an exception and jalapenos just give the best touch to pizza. "Jalapeno and corn, I said. Same here, Ritvik said. We both connected in the smile as soon as he said, he had the puppy still sleeping on him and Satvik was not sure of what he wanted. He kept irritating Rahul asking him what will be better, spicy Mexican or veggie delight. And on the other side Sylvia kept annoying Rahul over two margarita's for her alone. She always had this big appetite but she never grew fat, she owns this amazing figure. That factor annoys every girl in my class, including me.

I couldn't wait for the pizza to come. And Rahul asked how about a game? "Truth or dare", Sylvia replied excited. Nope we have been playing that for a long time and we know almost everything about everyone, Priya said. I have no idea why I interfered. Let's play it, guess I shouldn't have to remind you about our two guests. I really hate when Priya goes against Sylvia. I m always on Sylvia's side, even if she is wrong. After all she is my bestie."Absolutely, let's start the game, Ritvik replied". Rahul started to search for an empty bottle and couldn't find one. Then he went and brought a bottle of beer, kept it high up in the air and offered,"does anyone want to finish this bottle so that we can play?". In a jiffy everyone's hands were in the air except mine and I slowly turned to look at Sylvia and she was gawking at me. I knew she was mad at me about the last time. She had made me promise that I 'll quit drinking and this time she doesn't expect me to break that. But that one was a good offer. Well I just kept my head low so that I don't tempt myself looking at the bottle. Sowie, what's stopping you, Rahul asked. "Nah nothing, just not in the mood to drink today, you guys carry on I 'll just play the game", I replied with disgust because that's not what my heart was screaming. Oh c'mon just this once, you have always been my partner", Rahul forced in his sweet tone. I badly wanted to say yes but she had her hand on my hand. Which clearly meant dont give up on yourself, have control."You drink?",Ritvik asked shocked. Used to but not anymore, I just said that and Sylvia hugged me tightly.  I hugged her back.

Rahul gave everyone else a beer bottle except me and Sylvia. They just cheered up drinking a sip and the door bell rang. I went up to the door and here comes the best circus monkey of all times. He just hugged me as soon as he saw me. He was totally drunk. Hey stupid are you fine I asked and he kept blaberring something and I didnt understand a word out of it. With great difficulty I managed to pull him into the hall and as soon as he enter he flipped and landed on the couch."Again he has got drunk terribly", Rahul said. "Yeah I know take him to your room", I said. He was blabbering so much, this was very normal to us but this time he was wet as well. I wasn't sure if he came home without falling anywhere. Rahul and Nitin somehow carried him into the room and got stuck there for a while. Guess they were changing his clothes and a lot of mumbling was heard and again the bell rang and I wasn't in the mood to walk back so Sylvia went to answer the door. I just sat on the floor and was about to push a beer bottle. I just held it to save it from falling and now I was no more in control and Sylvia was also not there too, I just took a bottom sip out of that bottle and Ritvik and Satvik didn't move their eyes off me. I know I have been a naughty girl, just don't tell Sylvia", I told in a cranky tone. Priya laughed and said, thats what I thought, "How come you quit drinking"? "I know right, how come I don't drink even after the bottle reaches my hand". And we both chuckled. The twin brothers just kept gawking at me. Rahul came out of his room and saw his bottle empty and winked at me. I winked back and kept a finger on my lips,"shhhhhh....". He said,"secrets are never spilt ".  And she entered with a pile of pizzas, What secret?

No nothing, so how much did that cost?, Rahul asked. Two thousand and some change, just pay and take some more oregano, she replied and placed the boxes of pizza on the floor and in no time everything was just over. I was filled but I just needed another bottle of beer but that wasn't going to happen. She could have made out that I was drunk but because she was busy eating her favourite pizza she didn't bother to check me out. I went into the room after I finished and saw Nitin was rubbing Jasper's hand. He was generating heat. I touched Jasper and he was as cold as ice and he was continuing to blabber something. I asked Nitin to go and have his share of pizza and he denied. I forced him but he didn't seem to move. He was avoiding eye contact with me when I was asking him to go and eat. I bent down kept my finger on his chin and lifted his head. When our eyes met, believe me I had no feelings popping in me, I was just about to say him to go have his share of pizza but he held my hand softly, a different kind of touch I haven't experienced in a long time. He moved away from Jasper and came close to me. He held my hip and pulled me more closer to him. I have no idea why I stood there like a statue when I had to push him away from me. We didn't spoil the eye contact and his lips got closer to mine and I was so lost and suddenly some one said ahem. We turned to look towards the door and Satvik was standing there. I just got out of his grip and walked out of the room passing Satvik. I was feeling weird about that incident. I haven't ever been so close to Nitin, not in these two years and I m so astonished to find myself in such a position. I went near the refrigerator and pulled out another bottle of beer and opened it and drank again. I couldn't drink completely at once. My stomach was filled but I really needed this drink. I drank it slowly yet completely sitting on the kitchen slab and then walked out of the kitchen. Sylvia was munching her last slice and all others were taking their last sip of their drink. My eyes searched for Nitin but he wasn't there and so was Satvik. I wasn't too stable but I could walk pretty decently. I opened the room door to find them holding each other's shirt collors and Nitin was just about to punch Satvik in the face. As soon as they saw me enter they just loosened their grip and put their hands on each other's shoulders and behaved like good friends. I kept staring at them. I was confused.

I have no idea what is wrong with these boys or with Jasper but there are many things yet to get revealed.
