Demi's POV

"Hi! I'm Demi, Hi-i I'm Selena , want to color with me?" I asked.

"Uhh... ok." she sweetly replied back to me.

*5 years later*

Demi's POV

"Momma, can I go play with Selena next door please, please, momma?!" I asked.

"Okay, sweetheart. Be back before seven for dinner." she said.

"Thank you momma! bye!" I was walking to Selena's when I heard a loud scream. It was coming from her house. When I walked in, there was blood all over the floor and Selena's dad was holding a knife covered in the bright liquid. Selena was in the corner crying; I ran to her.

"Selena are you okay?" I worryingly asked. She pointed to the bathroom door. I was walking to the bathroom when her dad covered my mouth with his hand, then, he grabbed Selena by the hair. I was trying to scream but I couldn't. He took us to his truck and started driving. He warned us if we screamed or tried to escape he was going to kill us, we were so scared

"Selena?" I whispered, she had her eyes open, she was breathing but she didn't answer me, "Selena please tell me what happened." Why wasn't she talking? Then she started crying again, which broke my heart.

Her dad took us to an ugly blue house; it seemed old. He took us to a room and said to stay there. When he left, I looked at selena. I was about to say something when she spoke.

"HE'S A MONSTER!!!! H-E KILL-ED MY M-OM!!!!!!" She painfully screamed. I hugged her and cried with her when she calmed down, I told her to help me find a phone or something.

"No," she said "you heard, him if we try to escape he will kill us!" She was right. I sat on the bed with her, I looked at her wrist. it had angry red marks like mine.

"Selena," I said.

"What?"

"You-r wris-t!" I pointed to her wrist, she pulled her sleeve down and said it was her cat.

"Selena, you cut yourself?" I asked.

"I'm sorry Demi, I'm really sorry," she said through her tears. I gave her a hug. And no, of course I'm not going to tell her I do it too, yes, she is my best friend, but no, I'm not going to tell her about my secret.

"It's okay, Selena," I said. Then her dad came in angrily. He grabbed me by my hair and threw me into the basement. He then grabbed a bat and started hitting me with it. When he was done I was in so much pain. Blood was gushing out everywhere.

He threw me into another room. Tears started pouring out of my eyes. Then, my demons came in "See demi, nobody likes you. You are so fat and ugly. You are worthless." I started cry harder then I saw a Pocket knife on the floor. I grabbed it and started to open my wrist with it. Selena came into the room she saw me with the knife in my hand. I hid it fast and told her I was trying to break the window. She actually believed me; oh thank god.

"My dad told me to bring you food. Here you go," she came closer to me and gave me a hug. "I am so sorry Demi. I love you. Here, if I don't make it here's my lucky bracelet. She grabbed my wrist pulled up my sleeve and put the bracelet on. Thankfully not noticing my scars. I gave her a hug and the necklace I was wearing. It was a silver heart with a blue diamond on it and in the back it said "demi♡". I gave it to her and told her I loved her too. Then she left and I started to cry again. I heard a long "BANG" and following suit her dad came in, grabbed me by the hair, and took me to his truck. Selena was already there crying while holding the necklace I gave her. I grabbed her hand then her dad started to drive fast, we crashed into a pole he got out bleeding from his head. He opened the door and grabbed a crying and screaming Selena.
