It was five o' clock in the morning when I sat up in bed. I did this every morning before daddy came and woke me up so that he wouldn't scare me. I turned over and turned on my bedside lamp, and waited for him. Today, I was going to get out of school and go to the airport with daddy to get his best friend. Then I saw my silver doorknob twist a little and dad looked through the crack. I saw half of his smile and he opened the door all the way. "Good morning, baby." He signed to me. I smiled and signed back. He came over and sat on the edge of my bed. I looked at his ruffled short hair and smiled. "Are you ready to go to the airport?" He signed to me. I nodded and my heart started beating fast. I had never been to the airport before and this was the first time I had ever met one of daddy's friends before because he thought that they wouldn't take me being deaf seriously. "Will we go out to dinner tonight?" I signed. He nodded and I smiled really big. "Get dressed and we can go get some frappes." He signed to me. I nodded and daddy left the room. I turned on my ceiling fan light and went over to my dresser. I grabbed my black Fender T-shirt and ripped up blue jeans and slipped them on. I grabbed some socks and my red and black Vlado shoes. Right when I was straightening my hair, daddy came in my room all dressed an ready. "Ready?" He signed. "Almost." I replied. I finished my hair and he smiled. I left me room and walked out of the house with daddy and we got into his car. I was really nervous to meet his friend for the first time, but I was kind of glad that daddy was going to have a male figure to talk to. I put on my seatbelt and looked at my father. He was smiling at me, and I smiled back. Then he started the car and we started driving to the airport. Should I be nervous?

DJ: Hey guys! I'm not really excited about the chapter but I still hope that it goes well. Also really sorry for the lack of updates. I've been sick and had to go to the doctor today. But please comment and vote.
