Friends and Shopping

I go to my dorm and drop my bag on the floor. I huff and sit on the bed.

"Alice! You made me late for class." I whine.

She starts laughing hysterically again, "You're reaction was priceless!"

"I thought you were serious! If you're a lesbo, I'm switching rooms." I scold her, chuckling.

"Awe then I couldn't," she sits next to me creepily, "Rape you." she whispers and we both die laughing.

"You're a weirdo!" I say in between laughs.

"I'm gonna go into town off a while, wanna come?" I ask.

"Can't I got class at 2:45." she rolls her eyes.

"Oh, well i'll ask Jean. Your buddy." I wink.

"We actually did make up." she says

"That's great!"

"Yeah, we're ok now."

I nod and knock on her door.

"Hey, I have class soon, what do ya need doll?" Jean asks opening the door.

"Oh, I was gonna invite you to come to town with me."

"Sorry, maybe another time." she frowns.

"Ok bye" I go back to my room.

"Leaving!" Alice walks out the door right when I walk in.

Sigh. I guess I do need more friends

I go to my car and drive to the mall, it's now 3:00 so Harry should be available. I ca him and he picks up.

"One more day, baby." ok, cool greeting?

"Hi Harry" I say

"How are you?" he asks

"Lonely. You need to come here!" I laugh, "Live in LA."

"That sounds appealing."

"So whatcha doin'?" I ask grabbing my purse from the passenger seat and lock my car.

"Looking for a gift for you."

"Why?"

"A 'it's-nice-to-see-my-girlfriend-again' gift." he says and I chuckle.

"Should I get you a gift?"

"Nah, I'm fine. But I gotta go to work."

"Ok. Skype tonight right?"

"Always."

We hang up. I guess that's our thing, saying 'always' instead of yeah. I don't know, I guess it's cool.

I go into H&M first and get black Jean shorts with rips, a navy blue tee that says You're My Drug and a package of hair ties because I need more. Shopping alone isn't as bad as I thought. Next I go into Looks, I get a pink flowly skirt with floral print, a green headband, a galaxy croptop, and beaded sandals.

After that, I go out to eat. I find a Chinese buffet and go right in. Chinese is my favorite! I fill my plate and text Harry.

When I finish my plate and pay, he texts me back.

Always, I gtg can't text anymore at work.*

I go back to my dorm and it's 4:36. I see Alice sitting on her bed, on her laptop.

"Hey" I drop my bags on the bed.

"Someone was busy..."

I nod and put everything away.

"Do you have class tomorrow?" I ask

"One at 3." she answers, "you?"

"I have Thursday and Friday off, of course sat and sun but then on Tuesday I have a full day of classes. one at 9, one at 11, one at 1, one at 4. Then Wednesday I have a morning class, and my afternoon class."

"Wow, you got a nice schedule, did you plan it?"

"Yeah I called when I applied and you get all your own classes."

"I'm going for dinner, wanna come?" she holds up her food card.

"I went to the Chinese Buffet already."

"Oh, I was going to go out to eat, but I didn't really feel like it. I wanted to bring it back to my room."

"You can do that?" I ask

"Yeah, then just put the tray outside your door and the maids will pick it up." she says and leaves.

This college is cooler than I thought.
