Summary :
Apostle Paul takes stand on his character(vs1_5) reproves the church for turning away from the gospel of Christ under the teachings of false teachers (vs6_9) he stands for his doctrine and mission and openly states his manner of lifestyle before his conversion and calling (vs10_14) and how he responded to the call (vs15_24).Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;) And all the brethren which are with me, unto the churches of Galatia: Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Galatians 1:1-5 KJV
Paul formally known as Saul, stands to prove his call to Apostleship, as not received from men but from God the father who has made Christ our mediator. Grace was God perfect gift to us, and good work upon our life's. Also peace. (comfort), which we need. They both come from no one else but God the father who is the source, through Jesus Christ . Understand carefully that is Grace first then peace Grace be to you and peace from God the Father...... ( Vs 3) Christ came to die for our sins to redeem us from the pangs of sin. So we must Understand fully the work of Grace as our only means of redemption: Christ fully submitting in obedience to the Father good-will toward us, coming to save us from sin. So big sin was that not even the blood of an animal could make the proper atonement need nor even the priest who were set aside holy, except the Son of God so we can actually say the redemption of man equals the death of God.
But then Grace was revealed so perfectly that it was for you and me note: Who gave himself for our sins... (Vs:4).you see sin was a signature of death, so Christ death on the cross meant total freedom from death, hallelujah we are save!!!I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the Grace of Christ unto another gospel: which is not another; But there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach another gospel to you than than which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so I say now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
Paul begins to point out painstakingly the error of turning away from this grace, so rich towards us. He lays on the church a real sense of their guilt in forsaking the true way of justification, with care and meekness, he makes them see how they have been drawn away by some that trouble you... (Vs:7) as in regard concerning the law in place of the righteousness of Christ Jesus therefore corrupting the truth of Christianity. He points out clearly that But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.(vs:8) knowing fully well that every other gospel apart from the truth of Christ gospel leads only to self righteousness, worldly lust and are schemes of the devil. Urging carefully that even when we are zealous for good works, let us Also be careful not to replace them for the righteousness of Christ. For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ. But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ. For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it: And profited in the Jews' religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.
Galatians 1:10-14 KJV
Apostle Paul became careful enough not to preach a gospel which leads to obedience to men rather than God nor to even.... pleased men,... But God. He then places how that by revelation he received the gospel and not from men, considering his formal lifestyle, making it clear that it was not by mans wisdom But from God.But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace, To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood: Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus. Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days. But other of the apostles saw I none, save James the Lord's brother. Now the things which I write unto you, behold, before God, I lie not. Afterwards I came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia; And was unknown by face unto the churches of Judaea which were in Christ: But they had heard only, That he which persecuted us in times past now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed.
Galatians 1:15-23 KJV
I love the world Paul used here: But when it pleased God,... Making it clear that, we were saved not of our effort or works But because of Gods good-will towards us, reveling His son in us by the working of His mighty power in us. It is of God that we are saved not of ourselves, But of God by grace. In romans 5:6-8 the Apostle Paul described us In a state of helplessness when we were without God, and this helplessness tells much of how impotent we were, or we would say a time we could do noting of our on, but God in his great love were with he had loved us chose to come to our aid and helped our helplessness, that through us he might be made known to all, Paul who under stands this purpose for which he was saved without hesitating went on to obey the higher call of God... that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:
Galatians 1:16 KJV. And by that he brought glory to God, And they glorified God in me. Even among those whom he was not known facially.
