FUKASE'S POV
I couldn't stop myself from doing what I did. This innocent-looking boy has his secrets, but I couldn't care if I tried.
care. What surprised me is that he kissed me back. I felt like I was on top of the world. Is this what love is like?
Suddenly Oliver pushes me away, blushing. I have to say something, so he doesn't think I'm a freak. My mind is at a complete blank, though.
"Fukase," He starts, but doesn't finish his sentence. The blond's gaze is locked at his shoes.
"Yes?" I grasp his hand, hoping for the impossible. I haven't been loved in 84 years.
He averts his eyes, looking away from me. "I think I love you... Would you ever love me back, though? Even with all my emotional baggage?"
My answer for that question is obvious. After all, I thought he would be the one to dislike me. "Oliver, I've been in love with you ever since the moment we locked eyes all those days ago. Don't you dare think otherwise."
He finally looks straight at me, his uncovered eye glinting with disbelief. "I'm sure you'd leave me after I told you more about myself, though. Would you take everything I'm about to say seriously?" A single tear streams down his face before I have the time to wipe it away.
"I'd remain by your side if it meant going to hell and back. I'm sure knowing about your past would only make me love you more."
Oliver hesitates before replying: "... I never know when I might die. Sometimes I get these vague flashbacks, and they make me feel like I'm having a heart attack. My family... I wish they didn't die..."
I hold him close, knowing actions would speak louder than words at this point. His head rests on my chest as I stroke his soft golden hair. He smells like stinky teenager, and it's endearing, honestly.
Once he's done crying, he asks me a simple question. "Will you be mine?"
"Yes. Forever and always."
