Everyday I'd spent with you was special. There was our first date, moving in together, and the day I had asked you to marry me. I remember picking your ring. I went to every store in London to find the perfect one. My mum told me that you'd love it no matter what, but it had to be perfect. Finally after the millionth place, I finally found it. A simple black rim with the words, "forever & always" engraved in it. I couldn't wait to see you, it was our two year anniversary, and I was ready to take you forever.
"Dan?" I said.
"Yeah?" He replied.
"Let's go somewhere tonight." I could barely hide my excitement.
"Ok, where?"
"It's a surprise." I smiled.
I took you to the place of our first date. I don't think I've ever seen your eyes light up so bright. Throughout the night, we laughed and exchanged stories. I always admired your laugh. I knew it was time when the topic of the day we met had crossed your lips. I pulled you in for a kiss and told you to shut your eyes. I got down on one knee and pulled out your ring. You opened your eyes, and I know you wouldn't admit it, but you cried.
"Please marry me, you're the love of my life and I don't want to live without you." I pleaded.
"Phil, of course." You replied through your tears.
There it was, the same feeling I felt when you first kissed me. God, I loved you so much.
