It had been 5 days since Lord Glade last saw Captain Rainbow Dash. He was starting to lose trust in the captain and assume that she had failed or had been caught by the royal guard. After all, it had been a while since Rainbow had took on any recent quests, maybe she lost her touch of thievery and she would be beheaded the next morning. Suddenly, in the middle of his thoughts, Lord Glade saw 4 shadowy figures approaching him in the distance.

"Master..." One of the figures said, which he recognized to be Rainbow Dash. The stubborn mare walked in behind three other mares who looked like they were being lead in against their will. "I brought you the princess, just like you requested. With her, I also brought you a sheriff and Princess Cadence's samurai. I thought maybe they could get me some bonus points."

Lord Glade chuckled. "Excellent." He sat up straight on his throne and examined each of his prisoners. Though, he frowned when his glare reached Twilight. "This is NOT the princess I asked for."

AppleJack couldn't help but chuckle at this realization. "We know."

Suddenly, the four mares lifted their jeweled necklaces out from beneath their shirt and stoof up against the dark lord proudly.

"What?!" Lord Glade growled in disbelief.

"Yeah, that's right! We brought you the princess who was destined to defeat you! " Rainbow shouted at her former master proudly.

Pinkie Pie gigglied. "You should've seen the look on your face when you saw that Twilight wasn't Princess Fluttershy! You looked like an old mule on a hot summer day!"

"Pinkie Pie can you shut up! We're about to save the world here!" AppleJack growled.

"Whaaaatttt? I'm just saying, he did! And it was hilarious! And the was his-"

"ENOUGH!!!!!!" Lord Glade shouted.

The four mares cowarded in fear before Twilight stood up bravely. "The point is, I came here to destory you!"

Lord Glade laughed as he stood up from his throne and began walking towards the team. "Really? It looks more like you came here to die."

AppleJack scoffed. "We're not scared."

Lord Glade used his magic to conjure up a haunting, purple sword. "What if I were to slash your friend with this sword?"

A worried look spread across Rainbow Dash and AppleJack's faces, but Pinkie Pie only giggled. "Go ahead! We dare you!"

Lord Glade smiled before jumping up to Twilight. Twilight began to slowly walk backwards while Glade followed her everymove. She suddenly felt that she had no where else to go when her back hit a wall of the cave. She met the haunting smile of Lord Glade as he lifted the sword up to her neck.

"Any last words, 'princess'?" He asked, smuggly.

Twilight looked over, helplessly at her friends. All three were completely terrified at what was happening, even the grin on Pinkie's face was washed off. She didn't know what else to do, she was trapped and a voice in her head was telling her to give up and let him kill her. She then met the lord, face to face, and nodded. Lord Glade smiled and lifted the sword up as high as it could go.

The three mares couldn't bare to watch as they quickly looked away to avoid witnessing the death of their friend. They waited until there was absolute silence. They looked back to where Lord Glade had Twilight cornered, to see Lord Glade standing over a dead purple mare.  Lord Glade transported back to his throne and sat comfortably as he watched the mares rush over to the corpse of their friend.

"Pinkie!" AppleJack yelled. "What was that?! Why would you dare Glade to kill her?!"

"You were the one who said 'we're not scared'!" Pinkie shrugged.

"He takes everything seriously if it means getting his hooves on a soul!" Rainbow argued.

"ENOUGH!" Lord Glade yelled again. "Weak fools, don't you see? Twilight isn't the mare who was destined to defeat me! She was the mare who was destined...to DIE! Oh, and Rainbow, since you failed to bring me what I requested, I guess I'll just have to take what you brought me, including your soul too."

Rainbow Dash looked shockingly at Glade before hanging her head down in despair. She had nothing left to lose. "Kill me first."

Glade thought about it for a while, before looking back at the captain. "You have 'til midnight. When midnight strikes, your soul is mine."
