It was an hour 'til midnight. All exits to The World of Flames and Fury were closed off to keep Glade's newest prisoners from trying to keep their souls. Pinkie Pie and AppleJack pouted on some rocks in the realm, but Rainbow Dash still hung her head in despair over her lost friend. AppleJack and Pinkie Pie exchanged looks before nodding and making their way over to their friend.

"Rainbow Dash, it's been 2 hours. Just accept it already, I did. She's gone and there's nothing we can do about it now." AppleJack said.

Pinkie Pie took off her hat and pulled out an orange fruit. She presented it to the captain. "Guava?"

Rainbow Dash looked at the fruit for a few seconds and pushed it away. The three heros gathered around the princess as Glade began to approach them with his sword.

"Now with her gone, you'll never be able to defeat me." Glade teased.

"Because she's the only one who can defeat you?" Pinkie Pie asked.

Glade snuffed at the foolishness of the pink pony. Have they really thought that the entire time? "No, you fools! Because she's a spirit of justice!"

AppleJack cocked her head in confusion but curiousity. "Pardon?"

"There are four elements representing justice. Bravery, laughter, loyalty, and wisdom. But it looks like you're one short."

"No! She's not gone! Her soul lives on in all of us! She's changed all of us! She's changed me! I went from being your little puppet to being someone my father would be proud of! Glade, I used to think you were the closet thing to a father I had, but now I see that you're nothing but a low down, cruel, evil stallion who doesn't deserve to sit upon any throne!" Rainbow Dash yelled. She couldn't take it anymore. She finally snapped and everyone stared in disbelief.

Finally, Glade's sinister laugh broke the silence. "Captain, are you hearing yourself? Do you really think you're precious princess can still be her element? She's dead, you hear me?! DEAD! I mean really, what can friends do?!"

Rainbow was about to explode in another speech, but AppleJack held her back. "Just give it up. It's over...we lost..."

The three friends gathered around the dead princess while Glade gave a smug smile, happy to know that he had finally defeated them. "Well, well, I may not have the princess who can make me live forever, but at least I destroyed the peasant who can defeat me."

"How dare you call Princess Twilight a peasant!" Rainbow dash yelled back.

"How dare you accuse me of lying, dear captain."

Three heads turned back to look at the dark lord. "What do you mean?" Rainbow asked, her voice shaking.

Glade laughed. "Oh, AppleJack? You remember that watchmaker, don't you? The one who died at your princess' hooves?"

AppleJack thought to a few days back. "Y-Yes..."

"You're looking at his sister..."

Glade saw the exact moment that hope left all of them. They understood now what Twilight meant when she said that she wasn't a true princess.

"No..."

"It can't be..."

"We were all so close..."

Lord Glade watched in amusement as the three sulked over their dead friend. He was almost satisfied now that they were all too weak to fight back. He would only be truely satisfied once they were all dead.

However, at that moment, just when all hope appeared to be lost, a ray of hope shone in the distance but close enough the be reached. With the power of all the friendship around the princess, and the power of how much her friends cared about her, the magic of friendship was enough to give Twilight her soul back!

Twilight's eyes fluttered, trying to adjust to the light before finally opening them and struggling the gain the strength to sit up again. "What...what happened?"

The three friends sat in awe, before Pinkie Pie wrapped her excited hoofs around the purple mare. "You're back! She's back!"

Glade sat up in disbelief. "WHAT?!?!?!"

Twilight slowly took Pinkie's hooves off her and stared at the ground, blankly. "...I'm the sister of the watchmaker..." She whispered.

"What was that, darling?" Glade asked, mockingly.

"I am the sister of the watchmaker!" She said proudly.

"She knows..." AppleJack whispered to Pinkie and Rainbow.

Twilight finally had enough strength to stand up herself. "I-I remember everything! My brother left me on another side of Equestria to save me!"

Glade laughed. "See! Your brother doesn't care about you!"

"I don't care if my brother doesn't care about me! Because I have three amazing friends standing right here! Rainbow Dash, the spirit of loyalty. Pinkie Pie, the spirit of laughter. AppleJack, the spirit of bravery. And me, the spirit of wisdom! And with these elements united, we have the power to defeat you!"

Suddenly, a black ring of fire began to surround and engulf Glade, as the gates of the world of flames and fury opened. "No! NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!"
